Buffy Comics Nominated at GLAAD Awards

The Buffy Comics are up for Outstanding Comic Book
at the GLAAD Media Awards. I haven't read Season 8
or Season 9 but I am glad to see that they are up for
this award. I don't keep up with comic book awards or
if they are ever nominated for these often.

It's always cool to see a Buffy related project up for an award, but seeing the other nominees, I'm not overly impressed. Both Batwoman and Earth-2 are horrible, horrible comic books, which makes me think that the only reason they've been nominated is because they have prominent gay characters. I know, cynical, but that's what it strikes me as.

Haha! I think its required to be nominated. Which has me questioning, do they judge the comics based on the gay character, or how it ties in with the story, or is it the shoe in and then they judge the comic? I kind of wonder this on most of the categories. I mean, Paranorman is up for best picture.. 😎

It's great to see Buffy going further. I'm a big fan of the comics and I'm so happy they have been nominated for this award. Even if though don't win all least they are being noticed!
