Buffy Complete Collection Sale

Just wanted to let everyone know that Amazon has the complete Buffy collection (the new version) on sale for $70.99 with free shipping!!!

Ok this set does not have the 40th collective disc. So for those who have it, is it worth paying the extra 100.00 for the one disc? I know that sounds funny, but this sale is a pretty darn good price.
 
yeah that's really disappointing...a friend who doesn't have the series yet, asked me to order it for him, and then I was going to borrow the extra disc from him, and was really upset to see it wasn't going to be included 🙁
 
One can't be sure it's the new packaging, since there's pictures of the old one too. And the reviews are about the old one.

Nevermind, I see that they cleared it up, and now says it's the repackaged one only.
 
God, that's good. Too bad I already have the entire series twice, and they're not the Slayer Collection, because I bought my dvd's before the collection came out...

As you can see, that's about the laziest re-package they could've done.

Note to self: Get chosen collection.
Not exactly space saving either. Nothing you can put on a small DVD shelf. Maybe on a bigger one, but it would stick out.

I guess it could look good for display purposes, but they could have used the same good looking layout on a more square and placesaving box.

Unless they keep the price much lower than what the collection goes for on ebay, this won't sell.
 
You should see the remaining pictures on Amazon, showing just how big this thing is on a shelf in different configurations. It literally sticks out like a sore thumb. If anyone does go and look at the remaining pictures, you have to cycle past the actual "Chosen Collection" photos first.
 
The individual seasons in that package would take up less than half the space the box takes, and they look decent. So if it had had the bonus disc, I might buy it and throw away the box. It it cost 50 bucks.

Too bad the guy who uploaded photos didn't take a picture of a opened season-box.
 
The thing is, those individual season cases inside that box are the only way you can buy Buffy, Angel, X-Files and other FOX series in stores, unless you went the eBay / used / Amazon Marketplace route.

Here in Canada they average $20 a season but with the occasional sale they can be about $12.

They are each the size of a single DVD movie case.

It's because that's the only way to buy them that I said it's so lazy, since all they did was throw them into a big box and nothing more. They could've made some effort, but no...
 
I saw this earlier and was thinking about it. it's a really good price for all those episodes after all.

Then I realized something... How often am I going to watch Season 4? Or 6? And I already bought Season 7 years ago when I lacked fast internet connection and wanted to see how the series ended.

Also what is this mystery 40th disk? What's on it?

Anyway, the only seasons I want to own are 3 and 5. And Amazon is pretty damn pricey in that regard. For instance, just Season 5 costs $27. By contrast, through a Google search, I found I could get Season 5 + One-Day Shipping from WalMart for pretty much the same price.

The 40th disc has a bunch of never seen before extra features.
Does anyone know if the BTVS The Chosen Collection include the 40th disc? I've been looking on line trying to figure out which set is best to buy...any suggestions?
 
Yes the Chosen Collection is the one with the 40th disc. If you look up any product online it lists how many discs are included in the boxset.

In other news, I think I'm going to fork out the money to buy it. I am going to have a bit more money left over this montht ahn i counted on and I really want that 40th disc.

Also I want the complete third season an all its extras.
 
Well best of luck. Sure hope it's legit.

i found it for $115 which I thought was a good price but I made sure the seller was trustworthy. (they have over 3000 sales on Amazon and only 100% Positive Feedback)
