Buffy Complete DVD Set - Pics!

I am so jealous even though I have all Buffy eps on DVD seperatly in thier seasons. That must of been SO expensive! How the heck did you afford it?

Was £127 (rock on student discount) from HMV. Selling my old box sets (£65ish so far for three seasons) and well I don't spend much money as I live a boring life.

Letter from Joss Whedon in Complete Buffy DVD boxset (R2)

Well, here you have it. All of it. Seven years of painstaking work, of pain and creation, of wit, confusion, strength, compromise and achievement... of me, dreaming of nightmares.

To say that Buffy has been the greatest, most difficult and rewarding experience of my career thus far would actually be to undersell its significance. It represents the best work (again, so far) of so many talented people I can't possibly name them all here. David Greenwalt and Marti Noxon, who ran the show with me are more responsible for its shape and terrible beauty than I ever intend to give them credit for, do spring to mind. But so many great writers, actors and crew labored beyond the beyond to make this show happen that it extended, as true art does, beyond my reach. This show ran me, not the other way around. It told me what to say, what to show, when to give comfort and when to draw blood. This show, seven years of it, is a living thing. Put it on your shelf, and go to bed. It'll whisper to you in your sleep.

Joss Whedon

exactly, if you think about it, 2 regular dvd seasons of Buffy already cost over 100 dollars, so another 2(4 seasons) is over 200 and well so on. So 248 dollars is a very good price for all 7 seasons, it seems like a lot but in the end its cheap.

Yay! It's arrived - sitting on my desk as I type and less than two days since I ordered. Good ol' play.com. I am now the proud owner of Complete Buffy number 4440 😀 I can't wait to get home and watch them (though it won't be all in one session 🙂)

Oooooh beauty! Congrats!

Last night I was giving Trav my best pouty lips and puppy dog faces as we discussed it.... he's just wary as there is no pic. So theoretically, the NA version could just be the exact same sets we already own, bundled into one price. I understand his point...but I have to say I was a bunny's hair away from buying it about 4 times yesterday.

i got this wednesday, it was waiting for me when i got home from college. 🙂
very pleased with it, except for the fact that the edge of the box lid was abit ripped and also at the bottom. 🙁
I went round trading shops yesterday to try and trade in my dvds, but for season 6 and 7 i'd just get £28!
so im gonna ge my friend to sell them on ebay for me.

Xander-where did you sell yours?
