Buffy Confessions #2

I confess:

1- I love Xander so much I can't help but create storylines for him before going to sleep.

2- I hate no character on BtVS. I think all of them are unique and wonderful. But I do have characters I'm not interested in like Faith and Tara.

3- I love S8!

4- I find S4 more enjoyable than S5.

5- I think Xander was the maturest character in S7.

The Buffy fans, the Angel fans and the Spike fans, too, defend their favorite character with passion and appear like they're taking it personally. Why must Xander fans be nerds? I'm the opposite of a nerd. I'm not booksmart like Willow and I haven't watched most of the shows Xander likes, not to mention that S8 is the first comic I've read since Mickey Mouse's comics which I've stopped reading at the age of seven.

Bashing a character is fine, but bashing the character's fans is not cool. Yes, I was offended.

1) Even though I am a spuffy and I love them so much I can still see the cute moments in the early bangel years.
2)I liked principal flootie and wish he would not have been eaten.
3)I did not like Gunn for the most part on my first watch of Angel
4)I love Angel and Spike so much. I just love them both.
5)Angel's dancing just gets me every time 😛 That is the way to this heart right here.

I really didn't mean to offend anyone and it might have come across sounding harsher than I intended! One of my real life buddies is a HUGE Xander fan and I always tease him about it so maybe I'm forgetting that I can only give crap to people that know me in real life!

Don't worry - I'm fully aware that I'm the biggest fangirl nerd when it comes down to it! (Yet in so many ways I totally am not). It wasn't meant to be a rip on anyone, just saying that's how I always picture Xander fans. HisMrs is one of the biggest Xandman fans on here and I know for a fact that she is much, much to pretty to be the way I was describing the fangirls.

- I can't hate Veruca. I just can't. I feel a great deal of sympathy for her. In "Wild at Heart" she's acting like she and Oz are soulmates and meant for each other I just feel bad for her. She clearly didn't have the support system he had. I just fell horrible for her.

- Alexis Denisof and Anthony Stewart Head are the sexiest guys in the Buffyverse.

- The Fanged Four needs to be explored more. As does souled!Spike with Angel.

- I read Spangel hurt/comfort fanfiction cause we never got to see them caring about each other on the show.

- Leave Dawn alone!

- "The Gift" is not sad at all. Was it intended to be sad? I think it's beautiful.

- I once enjoyed Bangel. Then it got all corny and lame.

1. Dawn is my favorite, right after Xander.

2. I think Oz was criminally underused in Season 3.

3. I love all eight seasons equally.

4. I think Buffy/Angel can be romantic and tragic yet creepy and impossible at the same time.

5. I don't see Angel as a pure villain nor as a pure hero. I see him as a real character.

6. Spike getting his soul back is the single most romantic thing that occurs in either series.

7. Dawn isn't that annoying. I find Giles way more annoying.

8. I completely disapprove of bashing.

9. Dawn/Xander actually works from my perspective...

10. ... but Spike/Xander should completely have happened in Season 4. I didn't think so at first, but after reading sosa lola's Spander posts and reading fanfic and remembering Xander going on about Spike's compact muscles in "Intervention", it totally would have worked.

1. I actually really like season 4. I don't have a least favourite season at all. I used to say that if I had to pick it was season 4 but I'm re-watching and now I just cna't pick at all. I love all seasons.

Sure, I tell everyone that the stake's really just a tree limb that I'm carving on at odd moments, and the machete is there for clearing brush on our farm property, but if the vampires or the zombies attack, I'll be ready for 'em.

And, the ultimate admission from the King of weird shipping: I really thought that, since Cordy wasn't really Connor's mum in any sense of the world except for he basics, which at most makes her a godmum, I also ship Connor/Cordy. CoCo. :hidesofa:

5. I think Xander was hot during the Hyena possession. NOT his behavior, but the way he walked and dressed and looked in general.
6. I also love Ethan Rayne's character (NOT in a sexy way, I just think he's awesome)
8. I sometimes think Angelus is more interesting on-screen than Angel. He's wittier, funnier, and generally a lot more confident than Angel. I DO LOVE ANGEL, DO NOT MISREAD, I just enjoy at a much more excitable level when Angelus comes around.
9. I sometimes can't watch Tabula Rasa because I have a phobia of amnesia... I know that sounds funny, but I've got a huge fear of losing my memory. Or being buried alive, so I kind of can't watch the season finale of AtS season 3
10. I ADORE the Nerd Trio. I have to rewatch the "James Bond Argument" like a BUNCH of times whenever that episode is on.

1. When Joyce died, I stopped watching the show for a while. (This is back when it was airing, in 2000).

2. When I started watching again, I saw part of an ep in season 6 in which Buff and Spike were together. Not being able to put it into context at all, I freaked out and stopped watching again. (In my defense, think of where their relationship was when I'd last seen the show...!)

3. When I finally was able to watch seasons 5,6, and 7 in their entirety, I realized what a mistake I'd made! I am now a gigantic Spuffy!

OMG YES! I love how Andrew tried to continue that argument with Dawn in season 7. Oh man I can't remember which episode it was... I think......... Bring On the Night (don't quote me on that, I might be VERY wrong). It cracked me up though. I think that's like the best retarded fight ever... besides Harmony/Xander slow-mo chick fighting, and Spike/Angel slow-mo in The Girl In Question from AtS season 5.

1. I tried to give S8 a chance,but the only redeemable factor I was able to find was the portrayal of Andrew as a fangirl. I love how he comments on Buffy's hair and makeup and Bangel vs. Spuffy. He'd totally fit in on the Boards.

2. The first time I watched The Body, I didn't really like it.

3. I think Wrecked was a work of pure and utter genius.

4. I *love* Andrew's perceived homosexual relationship with Warren. Cracks me up all the time.

5. I found The Girl In Question to be an overall bad episode.

6. Willow flaying Warren was more empowering that Buffy's "Chosen" speech.

1. Buffy's love relationships bored me like hell (with the exception of Spuffy)
   
2. I don't particularly like Amber Benson's acting, especially in the 4th season. Anyway, she so sweet and her character is so adorable that I don't really care
   
3. I don't like Angel, I think he's boring and lame
   
4. I haven't watch a single AtS episode yet, and I don't think I'll ever do. Why? See above
   
5. I think Dawn wasn't that bad. I wasn't fond of her, and I didn't like her whining, too, but she was ok, and I actually enjoy her in more than an episode

I agree about Buffy's relationships - though I'd include Spuffy, every single one of Buffy's romances I could not stand.

On Angel, I would reccomend that you give AtS a go. It really does improve Angel's character a lot, it gives him more dimensions and (gasp) a funny side.
