If Buffy knew that Spike was back, do you think that she also knows about all of the other stuff that has been going on in Los Angeles? Does she know about Wes and Cordy being dead? Fred being possessed by Illyria? Connor? We saw in After The Fall that there were a team of Slayers based in LA, and almost certainly part of their assignment there was to keep tabs on Angel and his people, especially during Season 5

Buffy knows that Cordelia died. In After these Messages... We'll be Right Back, she made a rather cavalier reference to her passing. It seemed rather rude and OOC, actually.

Yeah, but regarding Fred, beyond random mentions from Willow or Andrew, Fred just another of the many people who have died working with Angel. Buffy actually had multiple scenes with Angel before and after Doyle's death and there was no mention, and him she met.
