Buffy Conventions

Do any of you guys know if there are any Buffy/Angel conventions going on outside the US? it would be great for us fans outside the US (in Ireland to be...well truthful). Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have one here..even for just us fans to get together and celebrate all things Buffy. I know there have been some in London - but Ireland would be great too!! Buffy and Guinness would be a great mix 😀

That's the only one outside the U.S. I know about.

I had tix to see James Marsters at Dragoncon last year but he had to bail cuz he was filming Three Inches (which ironically didn't get picked up). I was also going to see him in Austin but he had to cancel that one too (do you think the universe is trying to tell me something?). I wanted to go see Joss at the Equality Now event last month but the meet and greet passes sold out right away, (they were only $100) so I didn't go. My dream would be to see Joss in person even if I didn't get to meet him.
 
There's 2 in Heathrow this year, Hallowhedon and Vampire Ball, not heard of any being in Ireland before though

What about Fanexpo Canada with Eliza Dushku or the Montreal Comiccon with james Marsters

James Marsters, Mercedes McNab, Charisma Carpenter and Juliet Landau are going to be at the Austin Comic-Con in November.
 
Anyone know of any conventions happening in Australia...? :\

Joss Whedon was here last year and was a key note speaker for the Melbourne Writer's Festival, but his talk clashed with the opening night of a production I was in. I died a little bit inside. So close but I couldn't see him. 🙁

There's a company called Supanova that do conventions in Australia they usually have some Whedonverse guests

Oh yeah, I know about Supanova. I went last year and met James Marsters. I was just hoping there were specific Buffy conventions still. I found this company called Hub Productions that does seminars/convention things with Star Trek and Harry Potter and stuff, but they haven't done a Buffy one in a few years. So sad.
 
I would definatly love to see a whedonverse convention in NZ or Australia. The Hub Productions have a whedonverse convention for 2012 July with Adam Baldwin and Fran Kranz going so far.

Also going to the Dragon con 2013 convention through the Hub Productions departing Sydney and Auckland with other fans and spend 4 weeks travelling America would be awesome too.

If anyone does know of any whedonverse conventions or anything to do with Joss Whedon in Australia or NZ please put up a post!! 🙂
