I'm sure many of us have used the Buffyverse Dialogue Data Base, at

Does anybody know who started this site? The contact form has disappeared. I might be willing to donate a little time/money to keep it up, and/or to expand it to include S8 and the Angel comics. I don't know the tech part, or even how much tech is involved.

Anyone else interested?
 
I've never even heard of it until this thread so thanks for sharing. I hope someone can give it some attention.
 
I've also been a fan of this site for a short forever. They're so reliable for quotes and stuff, I don't know what I'd do if they went offline 😛

It took some digging, but I found out that the person who runs that site also hosts a fanart site (where you can find some of the backgrounds and stuff posted in the Database). It hasn't been updated in a while BUT from there, I found a link to a Blogger page that looks like it's updated almost every day. Their info page confirms that it is the person who runs the DDB, so they're who you'd need to get in touch with if you wanted to take it over: http://vrya.livejournal.com/profile

I LOVE the the BvDDB! I use it all the time when I can't remember something. Glad more people are now discovering it too. 🙂

Thanks for the info!

Speaking just for myself, I'd have no wish to "take it over." If the founder (I haven't checked your links yet) wishes to "retain control," she should, or so I think.

But I certainly want to thank her for her service to the fandom, and if there's any burden, I'm willing to help share it. Maybe she could use a few dollars, because keeping the site up must cost her something. And if there's any routine work that she can't find time for, maybe I can help. Maybe there are other people who'd be willing to help in the same way.

If it comes down to having the site disappear I would totally help to keep it online. If there is a way to make it current , also interested. That is a resource that I have used since it started and still use it very often.
