Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered

The Good;
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better! Pretty much everything, even the music is superb, especially when Xander does his slow walk through the school. It really does set the bar for other eps.

The Bad;
Are you insane? This may well be my favourite Buffy ep EVER!

Best line;
Dru; Don't fret kitten, mummy's here. How do you feel about eternal life?
Xander (terrified); We couldn't just start with coffee?
Angelus (bemused) Boy I really did drive you insane!

Kinky-dinky; yep, Willow enthusiastically telling Xander that 'Force is ok' showing the naughty girl behind the softer side of Sears (love her impish smile as she says this). Buffy striptease too.

Questions and observations;
Lovely to see Amy and Jenny back and Harmony playing a fairly major role. Buffy's slit leopardskin mini-skirt is just SCANDALOUS, is this the outfit Joyce refused to buy her in Bad Eggs? Xander meanwhile seems to be dressed as though he's auditioning for Life on Mars, you could go handgliding with that collar. I always knew Cordy and Buffy and Jenny were lovely but here I think for the first time you realise the incredible sexiness of Alysson Hannigan, all the more remarkable for her wearing a man's shirt at the time. Joyce has been introduced to Cordy and greets her by name when she turns up at the door. Exactly how long are Cordy and Xander running around, it's light when they leave the school but dark when they reach Buffy's house?
If I was to single one performance out from them all it would actually be Robia LaMorte for playing Jenny, the way she tries to talk to Giles whilst being gradually overcome by her irresistable attaction to Xander. Amy's bitchy comment that Jenny is old enough to be Queen of the World is a bit much as she's only 28 at the time of shooting.
Note Spike's charming present for Dru contrasted to Angelus' hideous gift, his humanity once more shines through. The jealousy between the three shows through, AngeIus tormenting Spike in all sorts of subtle little ways. I once read a very short but hugely funny slashfic where Amy's spell goes wrong in a slightly different way, resulting in all the boys lusting after Xander rather than the girls, even Angelus. Anyone else read that one? You can find it here;

Nice review. I loved this ep too. Not quite a 10/10 though.
It was great to see a new Cordy, telling Harmony and her gang that they're sheep. This is when i begun tolike her, before that she was just a bitch.
Favorite line was Xander: ''blackmails such an ugly word'' Amy: ''i didn't say blackmail''
Xander: ''yeah but im about to blackmail you''
Also, Buffy was sooo hot in that scandalous dress.
 
I love this episode too. LOL at Spike and Angelus's competition for gifts for Dru . haha.

I laughed my ass off the moment Dru appeared outside Buffy's house to protect Xander from Angelus...i think Angelus said:"seriously?him?i guess i did drive you crazy"(or sth like that) hahahaha!!!
i mean come on it's Xander!!!Buffy is so much fun with that raincoat!!!and then when the spell wears off..."Oz...we have a case of nudity here" one of the funniest episodes!I think it is a relief to watch a funny episode in second season cause it's so dark with Angelus and sad Buffy!
 
My God, what a great way to break the tension that was building. Nice comedic relief in what was a pretty tense few episodes. Obviously they didn't ignore the tension, but they made it a nice undercurrent as opposed to the main focus.

Fun times.
 
No, out of 254 eps this is still my favourite. BECAUSE Buffy is going through such a rough time we need some comic relief and this is stellar!
 
One of the best!!!!! Cordy's sheep speech is one of my all-time favorite speeches on the show (probably in the top 10). Loved Aly being all sexy. And Xander/Cordy is one of my favorite couples, so I love that this is when they *really* get together.
 
I loved when Xander and Cordy were up in Buffy's room and Xander was saying something about how they'd be safe up there when Angelus pops through the window and says "works in theory" before throwing Xander through the window. Absolutely perfect timing!
 
Cordy's actions..

I was just watching Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, and there is just one thing I find interesting. Cordy left Xander on Valentine's Day, and almost every girl and boy finds that amusing. But if he did to her, everybody would see him as an ass. I mean, I'm a girl but I so don't support her actions. That was so cruel. I mean I like Cordelia, but that was so bad.

And to be out of topic here I always saw Cordy like a girl with good fashion sense, but that shirt when Xander want's that necklace, it is so ugly. And Buffy is so sexy in this episode, I loved her hair 😀
