Buffy ep by ep; DOPPELGANGLAND

Alyson was amazing, she was the most innocent, wicked and then innocent trying to appear wicked character of the episode.

Her sweetly telling her unwitting vampire henchmen to go check the noises only she hears outside the Bronze where they were promptly staked and then to attack Anya as she began to catch on was beautiful.

I found it hard to watch the deaths of many of the characters in the The Wish, but vampire Willows end in Doppelgangland was perfect, "Oh, F...."

I just bought Season 3 last week on DVD and I gotta say, this episode was excellent. Plus, I noticed things this time around that I didn't before, such as when Willow mused that she thought Vampire Willow was gay. Then Angel got shot down when he pointed out that becoming a Vampire doesn't *completely* necessarily change who you are. Some great foreshadowing there I must say.
 
Im doing a complete Buffy rewatch and recently watched this ep again but its one Ive always loved for many reasons:

1. Cordelia talking to vamp willow while shes in the cage
2. Vamp Willow....Just Because its an awesome character
3. Willow "I think Im kinda gay" If only she knew lol 😛
4. The awkward moment where Giles hugs willow for not being dead and the look that follows lol
 
The funniest moment is when Xander shakes his cross, as if to check if its batteries are working. The whole scene in the library when they think WIllow is a vampire is incredibly hilarious but this its pinnacle, IMO.

One of the funniest episodes of the series, the whole thing is a great big lol-er. Couldn't ever pick a favorite part. Willow and her vampire self just bounce right off of each other 😀

Also, the first episode where I noticed how freaking gorgeous Alyson Hannigan is. The leather was helpful (sw)

I kind hate myself now that it took me three seasons to notice.

Vamp Willow is probably the hottest woman of ALL-TIME!!!!

Love this episode for so many reasons. It's simply brilliant.

I noticed that in re-airings of this episode, they always cut out the scene where Angel Buffy tries to reassure Willow that the Vamp isn't really her. What's up with that?
 
I know this is a favourite here but I didn't like it very much. I don't tend to like the whole AU thing generally and The Wish annoyed me as well. There were a couple of funny moments but nothing that would make me want to watch it again (not even vampire Willow/Xander).

Wow, this is perhaps my favorite episode after the "Big Three" (Hush/Body/OMWF).

BTW, did you notice it had Vamp Willow in it? lol




So Zobo.... you noticed Vamp Willow too? 😉
