Frankly the less Adam in an ep the bettter it is!
 
Despite Adam being the lamest(according to most fans) it didn't detract from s4's brilliance. Just like Angel s1, the big bad wasn't the main focus. It was all about the Scoobies. I feel s4 is so underrated. Take away Adam and the rest was spot on. Perfect.

I actually liked season 4. Buffy getting in college and having new experiences. Adam was not the best villain but was hard like hell to beat.
I love this episode! It's my second favorite from season 4 (after "Fear Itself". Giles in a Sombrero made my day).

As mentioned in previous posts, the acting was excellent from both SMG & Eliza. I personally liked the little thing Eliza did with her eyes after the member of the Watcher's Council's team spits in her face (poor Buffy 🙁 ). Does anyone else ever notice that in certain scenes, usually dramatic ones, that SMG kind of makes her eyes get wider? It's really hard explaining it through text, but it's just a little thing I notice that she does sometimes. It's not a big deal really. But Eliza did it after she got spat in the face and it just really impressed me.

It's such a little tiny thing, but it really proved to me that Eliza did become Buffy to the smallest detail.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else really regarding Faith-as-Buffy sleeping with Riley. It was just a bad move. It definitely felt like the writers definitely wanted some conflict for the happy couple as Wishing Oceans said in an earlier post.

The scene at the end though just gets me everytime. When Faith-as-Buffy starts punching Buffy-as-Faith repeatedly in the face calling herself "disgusting" and "nothing". It made me sad to see, even a fictional character, that angry and in that low of a place. Faith was such a broken yet delicate character, so it really impressed me to see SMG play her so flawlessly.

Wow, I never noticed that. But I always see SMG makes her eyes wider a lot in
The Body and when she lost Dawn in Spiral.

I noticed only Eliza's Buffy's accent. It's awesome. Especially "Call Giles! Just get him here". It sounds so Buff Buff. 🙂
 
I love seeing Faith dance! One of the things I really miss about season 3. 🙂

Also, I notice how interesting it is that the "bad guys" are the most intuitive. For example, Spike picks up on Buffy/Angel not being "just friends" and on Willow *not being over Oz.
Faith picks up on Will being "sorta gay" now.
 
This ep and "This Year's Girl" are probably my favorite Buffy/Faith centric episodes ever in the show. The acting was phenomenal, and I thought the body exploration was pretty hot, myself. LOL I think it's sad how much Faith obviously hates herself and how The Mayor wanted one more shot at giving Faith a better life. Aww...

The writers try to build the character up, showing him bit by bit, you know, the odd killing here and there. They dont give it all away at once
 
What I never understood about this episode was in the part in the church, if the vamps had rounded up all those people for adam to come and kill, but the vamps all got poofed by the slayers...what happened to Adam? Shouldn't he have turned up wondering where all those people he was going to disect or whatever had gone? I mean the 3 vamps in the church all got dusted so no-one would have had the chance to go tell him what happened.. I dont know - its just a thought.

Otherwise a fab episode though - i loved the role-reversals. Body-swapping is always great to watch when it's done properly and those two really put their all into it 🙂
