So all last month Logo had a poll on their site for Buffy fans to vote for their ten favorite episodes, and Friday through today they played the top 30 episodes:

#1 Once More With Feeling

Wasn't much of a surprise to see OMWF as number one.. I'm kind of disappointed that more episodes from the earlier seasons didn't make it on the list. I was hoping at least Witch would have been chosen.. and kinda hoping Graduation Day Pt.II would have at least reached the top ten but I guess Logo watchers prefer the later seasons.

Comments? What would your top ten episodes be?

I watched a lot of these. 🙂 I like watching marathons like these from time to time, 'cause it skips around and you don't know what's coming up next. 😀

I loved the clips they used as the montage to promote the marathon. 😀

I wrote down like ~20 episodes I absolutely adore, it was hard to trim it down to just 10.

edit: I'd also like to register my astonishment that neither Conversations with Dead People nor Earshot made that top 30.
 
That poll is ridiculous. Crush, Beneath You, Out of my Mind, The Initiative and frakking Gone all above Innocence and Becoming? There's something wrong with these people's heads...

Hey, to each their own 😛
If I made a top 30 list, they probably wouldn't be so high but I don't think I'm capable of making that large of a list. Give me a full list of all episodes and I will gladly go to town and make a top 30 list. But for now I'm satisfied with my top 10.

It was a fan fave not a 'best buffy episodes of all time' list so I can understand why some of the episodes made it on the list.. not so much why Gone or Out of My Mind made it, though.

I think part of the reason why a lot of the episodes are from later seasons is because Logo has been playing mostly a medley of the last three seasons. They haven't played CwDP yet (is that the right abbreviation? lol) so maybe that's why it didn't make it?

Which is why I'm so confused. "Gone" is widely regarded as a poor-to-average episode by fandom, while Becoming and Innocence are regarded by most as up there with the best episodes of all time.
 
I agree with Taake and Vengeance about those episodes being so high! Crazy!

As for seeing OMWF at #1, it just made me sigh to be honest. I know its well loved but it's so overrated for me and nothing but novelty.

It'd take me ages to do thirty episodes. I could list ya 30 but not in much of a rate order!

I've never heard/read much praise for Out of My Mind either; I almost forgot the episode existed

After not seeing OMWF before the top five, it was obvious it would be ranked number one. Kinda takes the fun out of a list when the number one is so obvious. I agree it's overrated.

Looking through the episode lists (thank you, void), and I'm finding it difficult to pick 30 and rate them.. so take my ordering lightly after the top ten:

Love for Gingerbread and Triangle. I always thought they were pretty run-of-the-mill episodes.

I don't think OMWF is overrated, I've heard all the songs 100 times over and I still enjoy watching the episode.

Where are Restless, Storyteller, What's My Line?, Same Place, Same Time and more fabulous episodes that should totally be on the list?

I feel so anti establishment after seeing this list. Not a single S2 episode in the Top 16, not a single S1 episode at all. Chosen in Top 5, Crush and Beneath You in Top 10. Seems like many Spuffy fans voted. 😉

I'm not crazy about that countdown..cause there are eps that belong on the list and others need to be higher...some don't even belong especially not that high ranked..but its good to see theres still ppl watching on tv
 
Why was I travelling on a plane and too jetlagged to be alive all through this marathon! I would have loved to watch it. =(
 
They should have put the marathon on the plane, would have kept you occupied for the whole journey. :biggrin3:

I've noticed LOGO seems to play the same episodes, most of which made the list. They rarely show any of season seven at all.
