Buffy "Homage"

I know it's low budget and everything, but the acting is horrible!
 
lol. the guy who plays giles doesn't move his mouth, and the part they added about "wait, she needs to do it on her own" feels like they just did it one take.
 
When you posted that was it your intention to offend me with this piece of material.
I like to give people credit for trying, and had it been that gang of people singing themselves I might, MIGHT, have liked it, instead we get the lip sync tosh(oh my lord, how can you not lip sync that song well, its not even hard)
I take that back, 'Dane'(Spike) managed lipsyncing well, though his over acting while discarding the cigarrette annoyed me a bit.

The 'actors' in that video really need to do a lot more.

Its a little wierd how you joined today JessieSky and your first post is this, coincidently that Video was uploaded on the 3rd of June...hmmmm

I also had issues with the filming. Some of it was a good shot except lighting let you down......some of it just plain terrible home video. This too added to the extreme amateurish feel of it.

I'm not any of those. A friend of mine found it and sent it to me and I love it so much that I want to let as many Buffy fans as know as I can. I was never into the forums, which is why I never posted. You have to understand, I am the kind of person who if I read a movie review and the movie is supposed to be awful my friends and I are in the movie theater that weekend laughing at how crappy it is. 🙂

So, wait you were sent this, this piece(or at least informed of it) and you thought it was good so you decided to join a Buffy forum to let others see it......see i could believe all that except that you thought it was good.

If say this was the late 1920's, when Movies were truly beginning to be viewed and you said to me,

"What ho, old bean, I've just viewed this moving pictures deely and it was rather amusing"

then i would view it and possibly reply

"I say, that is remarkable, though the ladies were showing a little too much skin, is it a pornographic film?"

(Obviously you'd be English in this senario😉 )
But its not. its 2006(apparently made in 2003). These 'people' claim to be actors, i'm guessing they attend some form of arts school, which would have access to some decent camera equipment as its cheap enough now, which shows me that they have little talent in ALL areas from film making, acting and lipsyncing to make-up.

No this was terrible, it truly was.

PS. I wasn't offended, that was just teasing....but the rest i absolutely meant!!!

PPS. If you were one of the people that made those stupid comments on YouTube about it being really good, then you deserve banishment from this dimension.......possibly to a world of ONLY Shrimp!!!
 
I didn't like it per say, I just thought it was cute. Yes, it is really cheap and the lip synching can be really bad sometimes, but I thought it was cute to have people go through all that just for a TV show. I put it in my "so bad, it's good" category, like the movie Battlefield Earth. It's so crappy that it's hilarious to watch.
 
I liked Battlefield Earth.
But i think anyone who says that something is 'so bad its good' is actually lying to themselves. You can't dislike something so much that you like it, not at all, you either like it or you don't. Just be truthful and say you like it, don't kid yourself, or indeed others by saying the reason you like it is because you thought it terrible, if you really thought that you'd not be able to like it....take Phantom Menace, i hate that with a passion, its so bad that its...well bad nothing else😉.
 
But for example, I watched Confessions of a teenage drama queen, the lindsey lohan movie, with a friend and we both enjoyed watching it because it was so bad that we got to make fun of it.
 
But you either enjoyed the movie or you enjoyed taking the piss out of the movie.
If it was the first one then you did like it, if it was the second one then you didn't like the film, you don't like the film, you still think its bad...you enjoyed the company.
So either case doesnt fall under the 'so bad its good' heading because the quality of the movie didnt change. Had you watched it alone and not discussed it, you wouldnt have thought to yourself...wow that was so bad it was good, would you? No, you'd have been...'That was just baad'.
I did the same thing with Hellboy and The Village. In My opinion neither movie was any good, infact bother were terrible BUT i had a fun time at the cinema cause i went with some friends, and luckily we were the only ones in so we could ridicule it...had we not been able to talk, or had we gone separately we would have walked out.
I still can't watch them now, because they are just baaad movies.
 
I see what you are saying. You are right, I wouldn't watch confessions of a drama queen ever again. So I guess a part of me liked this Buffy video then (embarrassed)

Don't feel bad Jessieski. I was watching the news tonight and there was a little human interest thing at the end. They were talking about how popular lip synch videos are becoming. Apparently there's this thing that's catching on where some one, or group finds something like a Ukranian folk song, and does a lip sync number in the background.

As far as Fan Videos go. I have to be pretty bored, but I'll admit it; I've downloaded, and watched them. Some of them have surprised me by being kind of entertaining.

Here's kind of an amusing mind-bender, I think.

In Season 4 it's suggested, Power that Was, Jasmine, manipulated the destinies of Angel and company to create a desired result. So if something was manipulating the destiny of Jasmine to manipulate the destinies of A & C what does that say?

Once you add the second layer of destiny manipulation it implies the possibility of a third, then a fourth, then a fifth, and so on. Until you stop with a clear explanation saying this is the one, true and only supreme being you have the possibility of infinite destiny manipulation. Once you have infinite destiny manipulation, are you once more back at free will?
