I think I can understand Buffy, but she was out of line to do that. But let me say this.....wouldn't you do the same thing to your ex? Being jelous?

Buffy was alittle bitchy ya... I agree, well i kinda understand why she was upset about him hitting her, he shouldn't have done it even if she did hit him...

I disagree Buffy deserved to be hit back.

That is a stupid view point. Buffy is a slayer who is stronger than a vampire, so when Angel hit her it would not have hurt as much as it did when Buffy hit Angel.

H'okay, so...

1. I don't think Buffy went there for 'Angel's well-being'. That's a load of crap. She went there to hunt down Faith.

2. Let's be honest here: Faith did a lot of f-cked up stuff. Buffy had every right in the world to be pissed off. The one thing that could've been done differently on Buffy's part was to listen to Faith when she tried to apologize; but then again, at the time, I don't think I would've listened to Faith so much as beat the living sh-t out of her for all the stuff she did to me. So I understand that.

3. I think Angel is the one most mistreated in this episode. At then end, when Buffy is being all haughty and 'oh, my life is so good now without you around, wanna see?'. First of all, that had NOTHING to do with the previous chain of events, she was just saying it to get under Angel's skin because he put his faith in...well, Faith, and it turned out good for him and made her look like an idiot. And Angel telling her off? Go him. I was practically screeching in joy at the TV screen. That was priceless. It's very rare someone gets the balls to tell Buffy to f-ck off.

Basically, I think Buffy came off as childish and immature. She had right to feel the way she did about Faith, but at Angel? No freakin' way.

Oh, also? Regardless of whether or not a chick is a Slayer, if some bitch has the balls to hit you? Freakin' defend yourself. It's called standing up for you honor. And check this: I'm a woman. If I go off and hit a dude, I EXPECT the dude to hit me back. This also has nothing to do with the debate and it's freakin' pointless considering the circumstances, but I felt as though I should toss my two cents in anyway.

That is a stupid view point. Buffy is a slayer who is stronger than a vampire, so when Angel hit her it would not have hurt as much as it did when Buffy hit Angel.

Nobody's viewpoint is ever stupid. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Mine happens to be that Angel was absolutely justified in hitting Buffy back, but Wanabee feels differently. More power to her.

I am so behind Buffy on the Faith issue!!

If Faith had done all of that stuff to ME you better believe I'd be hunting her down like a dog and making her pay.

It's totally understandable that she would be angry at the idea of Angel and Faith dating. I mean HELLO the chick almost killed him and Buffy had to let him bite her because of it and then he goes and starts dating her I'd be PISSED!!

Granted....that's not what was going on....but you know.

I do think it was pretty bitchy of Buffy to go on and on about how great her life was now that he was gone though. That was unneccesary....but if I was in the same situation I don't know if I could say I wouldn't have done the same thing.

I completely agree. for all buffy knew, Faith could have just tried to drop Angel's guard long enough to kill him for whatever reason. I also think that if I was Buffy, I would have done everything in my power to rub it all in Angel's face. It was just recently that he dumped her for, IMO, a ludicris reason

I desperatley wanted to smack Buffy in the mouth when watching this episode. I have never hated her so much. I really like her usually, I mean I'm sure there were times when I thought 'She shouldn't have done that', but I have never hated her like I did in this episode. I wanted to scream at her when she hit Angel, and then he hit her back and she acted shocked. I couldn't believe it when Angel said sorry. Did he hear a sorry from Buffy? No. I'm glad he stood up for himself in the end though, and pointed out that she actually hit him first. Plus in the end when he told her to get the hell out of his city, I cheered! I wanted to be the one to tell her to grow up and get out. I mean sure, if Faith had done those things to me, I would want revenge, but still, Buffy was totally out of order in my eyes. She should have trusted Angel when he told her that Faith was trying to change. I think that deep down Buffy knew he was right, she just wanted to make Faith pay.

And could someone PLEASE explain to me why in Buffy, when Faith is sent into a coma, Buffy seems to forgive Fath, and even kisses her on the forehead? But when Faith wakes up Buffy wants to practically kill her! Why? I really don't understand this logic at all.

I can honestly say that this was the episode that began my hatred towards Buffy, one that has lingered for a while. It's also the point where every connection between both shows should have been terminated permanently.

At this point, I wish Cordy and Angel had gotten together right then and there here just so Angel could throw that in Bitchy's face.

When is it in "Buffy" that Buffy starts becoming a whiney bitch? In seasons 1-3 at least she's pretty likeable, but I've seen random episodes on FX where she's nothing but a self-concerned, whiney, annoying little bitch and I couldn't stand her. And I was just wondering at what point that begins.

"Where the hell were you when Spike came to town and skewered me with about 50 rebars, huh? You know, when he came to get back the ring YOU gave me? Where was your Goddamn concern for me then!?"

Buffy didn't know Spike was in town then,if she did, she probably thought he'd be able to take care of himself, Angel himself thought that about Buffy which is why they never came to the rescue all the time. Buffy came over to L.A and used the 'I thought you were in danger' thing as an excuse to attack Faith, as she was after vengeance, but it is like Angel said," I'm in danger all the time..." so her 'rescue' had a double meaning.

As a die hard bangel fan I can't believe I'm about to type this...but I hated the whole Bangel relationship in this episode. Buffy's actions made me not like her.

I can understand how hurt she felt. Faith hurt her and made her feel like a victim, when no one else ever had, but she had no right to take that out on Angel. She was spiteful when she threw her relationship with Riley in Angel's face. And then she had the cheek to blame her outburst on Faith. I was even annoyed that Angel went to Sunnydale to apologise. If anyone should have been apologising, it should have been Buffy (but that's a different topic).

In my opinion, Buffy only wanted to save Faith on her own terms. Yeah, Buffy tried to help Faith in Season 3 and Faith turned her back on her. But Faith wasn't ready for help. And then in this episode, when Faith was trying to explain why she had done the things she had done, Buffy shot her down and refused to listen.

She was incredibly selfish in this episode.

Buffy was too angry with Faith to think rationally... and Angel really wasn't helping. But that's just my opinion.

But Buffy didn't want to kill Faith in "This Year's Girl". She knew that she had to find her, that it was dangerous for Faith to be on the loose. Remember their conversation on the UC Sunnydale campus when they come face-to-face:

Faith: You're not me.
.... Sooo. Check you out, B. Nice. The big girl on campus thing's really working for you.

Buffy: I've been looking for you.

Faith: I've been standing still for eight months B. How hard you look?

Buffy: Are you all right?

Faith: Five by five. Best thing about a coma, you wake up all rested and rejuvenated and ready for payback.

Buffy: So much for pleasantries, huh?

Faith: What'd you think? I'd wake up and we'd go for tea? You tried to gut me, blondie.

Buffy: You'd have done the same to me if you had the chance...

Faith: So let's have another go at it. See who lands on top.

Buffy: It doesn't have to be like this, you know?

Faith: Actually, I think it has to be exactly like this.

Buffy: (while indicating the crowd) Faith, these are innocent people.

Faith: No such animal.

It was only after Faith's attack on Joyce and the body switch etc. that Buffy was so enraged and wanting to settle the score.
