Buffy Investigates Part 1

Buffy and Willow were passing the afternoon in the library, Willow had been told the Biology lesson would involve saying how the legs worked, so rather than put up with the stupid comment from their classmates they had decided to use the library books to teach themselves what was. As it was they secretly paid attention to what a police officer was telling Giles in his office.

The police officer told Giles that two people had been found dead in a car although the police had found no clues about who they were plus they had no information about the dead person who had seemingly been run over. Giles was told the people had several broken ribs each and must have lost a lot of blood where the broken ribs had protruded through the skin.

Although there was no indication why or how the person had lost all of his blood. Even Giles could not stop himself from glancing at Buffy to see if she was listening, seeing that she was sat quite a distance away did not deter him as he knew that Willow had been teaching her how to hear content she wanted to hear from distance. Giles did not know that Buffy could see long distance as well.

Obtaining a location for where the car had been found, Giles gave the details to Buffy and Willow. He had found out the location of the morgue where the bodies had been kept Giles gave them a lift to where the car had been found. Giles leant on the bonnet of his car as he watched the girls wander around where the car had been parked. He had a biro and a notepad at the ready when the girls returned to him.

“So did you find anything of use?” asked Giles.
“Yes and no,” replied Willow.
“We couldn’t tell who had attacked the people in the car as there was so many footprints about the car, for all we know whoever did the attack might have flown to the car,” said Buffy.

Willow agreed with her.

“One thing though we did find where a pool of blood had been some ten feet from the car,” she said.
“Though there is no indication if it is animal or human blood personally I think it is likely to be animal blood,” said Buffy.
“I agreed with her, it makes sense that it is animal blood. I cannot imagine a human creature killing the driver of the car then spilling some blood to form the puddle,” said Willow.

Opening the rear doors to Giles' car the girls got in.

“Take us to the morgue then after that can we take a look at the car?” asked Buffy.

None of them said anything to each other for the duration of the journey to the morgue, Buffy wrote what they had found on the note pad. In the morgue Giles opened the draw where the mams body was.

“It says here that he was thirty years old fit and in good health,” said Giles then he looked about the mans neck, “No evidence of the infamous puncture marks so there is no possibility that a vampire did this.”

He looked at Buffy as she and Willow began to laugh.

“You have spent too much time out of the field when you’ve been teaching Buffy,” said Willow.

Buffy looked to Giles.

“She is right you know, we do not know how long the person was in the car it might be that the vampire drank his fill, enough to turn the man,” said Willow.
“Well I did have to teach you how other demons could be,” said Giles.

He turned to face Buffy as he looked at the neck.

“These puncture marks the vampire made could have returned to be normal skin after the person had become a vampire. Plus there are other places on the human body a vampire can drain a humans blood from, you might want to check those places first,” said Buffy.
“Then again there is a possibility it was not a vampire who killed the driver,” said Willow.

Giles stared at Buffy.

“Sorry, I just thought that it was when I heard of the body not having any blood,” said Giles.
“It was but you ought to realize that just because it had no blood does not mean a vampire did the deed, there are many other ways to empty a human of blood,” said Willow.

Buffy sniffed the neck of the person.

“It was though, which gives us another problem, how do we tell the police that a vampire killed the man in the car, and another thing, what happens if the person was turned and gets up tomorrow,” said Buffy.

“What I cannot understand is how or why the car is on the made up section of the driveway that is from the gate to the back of the house. Could it be the driver knew there was someone in the house who he or she could relate to,” said Willow.

Buffy incredulously looked to Willow.

“Could it be the driver thought there was a person at the house who would explain who or what attacked the car?” asked Buffy.
“Possibly though I would be more inclined to be of the notion that the driver of the car knew the person in the house or had seen the attacker wander into the house,” said Willow.

Buffy and Willow went to the shire’s offices to find out who owned and lived in the house. Then go to the police and find out who owned the car.

“It will make life much easier if we know if them people are male or female, heck, knowing their names will make talking about them easier,” said Willow.

Two hours after he had been searching through the records of the house and discovering that the owners were dead the girls could only shrug their shoulders when the question was asked as to who it was that they needed to speak to.

“Begs the question about where the driver of the car is and who owns the house is, better yet could it be asked if still that we should ask if the owner of the car and the owner of the house be the same person,” said Willow.

Buffy thought about her reply to Willows question.

“Nothing can be ascertained based on what has been found. The guy in the morgue could be who the guy in the car had been yet it is possible that he might have been the person who owned the house. Can we rule out that he was just an innocent person who happened to be walking by,” said Buffy.
“No we cannot, we do not have the correct knowledge that the person from the morgue was indeed the owner of the car or indeed he was also the man who owned the house. I feel it will be necessary for me to create a spell to raise him from the dead and ask him about what he knows,” said Willow.

Buffy faced Willow and thought of what she had just said.

“I do believe that you could be right though you did need to say more. We could approach the Oracles to find out if he was who we hope he was and get them to write the answer to us,” said Buffy.

Upon receiving an answer from the Oracles both Buffy and Willow agreed to wait until Willows quest of asking the dead person in the morgue who answered. When the answer found itself written on a piece of paper and placed with what the Oracles wrote. Both Buffy and Willow found themselves shocked and were amazed at what both answers were.

Both answers stated that the person in the car was a woman who had lived through a magical direction to have her become a man. All was done safely so the man could say he was the owner of the house and the car. Going to the morgue Buffy and Willow confronted the man, telling him their findings. About how they knew of who he once was.

The ghost relived his death by the ghost of his mother’s father and the turmoil that it had caused. The lawyers for the driver of the car stated that as the mother’s father had killed him then that side of the family cease to have any claim to the house allowed.

“They should not be allowed any claim to the car either,” said Buffy.
“Why would they make claim to the car after the claim to the house was rejected?” asked Willow.

Buffy smiled and grinned to her friend.

“For starters the car was a well maintained Daimler that could afford the owners of it a respectable home, plus in the well for the spare wheel was a fortune in valuable stones,” said Buffy.

On presenting their findings to Giles he was pleased that they had overcome the secrets of the diseased. Giles’ friend in the police force failed to understand how the answers were known.

“Do not question how the questions were answered or by who. Just accept that you have gained a higher rank, though should you ever get asked an impossible question again feel free to ask me to find an answer for you,” said Giles.

Buffy Investigates Part 3

It was on the third day of the following month that Giles’ friend in the police department spoke to him about a girl’s body that had been found on the road though no reason could be found why she was there. Willow told Buffy she wanted to take a look at where the body was discovered. Buffy was with Willow as they looked where the girl had been found though neither of them could knew where the girl had come from or where she was.

Willow asked Buffy to check the ground at the side of the road. Buffy motioned that she had found footprints of a person who was running but Willow also found the shoe marks of a person who was running. Willow took a further look at the shoe prints and found that one side of the road the prints were normal whilst the side that Buffy looked the toe end of the shoe appeared to be a bit deeper than the rest of the shoe.

“That may well indicate the person was running,” said Willow.

Buffy took a photograph of several of the shoe prints from each side of the road they also made a note of the length of each shoe. Packing their stuff into their car they went to the morgue. Luckily the girls clothes were still there, that was when Buffy stated that the girls feet were to long for the prints on one side of the road, that the running side would be a good fit.

“At a guess I’d say she was running to catch up with the other girl when she was hit by the car,” said Buffy.

Their next stop was the local library, in the reference section of the library they looked at a detailed map of the area where the accident took place. On the one side of the accident there were a few houses whilst on the other there was only one. They smiled to each other,

“That makes life a bit easier, back to the scene of the accident,” said Buffy.

Near to the place where the girl had been knocked over Willow parked their car at the side of the road Buffy noticed that rain clouds were forming overhead,

“If we follow the tracks each side of the road with a bit of luck we might find where they lead to before it rains,” said Buffy.

Meeting back at Willow’s car the girls decided to follow the running prints first, as they wandered back on the line of running shoe marks,

“I never noticed before but both prints are here, that might mean that one of them was running after the other,” said Buffy.

They followed both sets of tracks to a house, as they stood by the fence of the house a lad wandered to them.

“We are investigating the death of a girl on the road,” said Willow.
The lad smiled and began to nod.

“You mean Karen, she was a good friend. She was running after another girl not chasing her though, she said it was important that she helped that girl. Karen did say that it would her if she did though I have no idea how,” he said.

Buffy told him that if they found out she would tell him. They wandered back towards the road, once over the road Willow asked Buffy if she noticed how clear the marks on the ground were. They were easily able to follow the line of shoe prints to a house. A girl came from the house to them,

“Can I help you?” she asked.

Willow noticed the her eyes were red and her eyelids were puffed up,

“What’s wrong?” asked Willow.

“A girl who I liked died on the road behind you, she wasn’t very nice to me but I did like her,” replied Susan.

Willow glanced at Buffy then faced Susan.

“Hmm, it is Karen’s death that we are looking into, if we do find out anything that will help you about why Karen was where and why she got hit by that car we will let you know,” said Willow.

Back at the car they agreed to go and ask the lad if there was anything else he could tell them about Karen. On the journey back to see Giles they agreed to draw a mud map of what they had found out.

Giles was waiting for Willow and Buffy behind the counter at the library, there were a few books in front of him; each one mentioned about a person being two places at once, one asked what a true doppelganger was. Willow and Buffy walked into the library seeing Giles at the counter they went to him. Willow saw the book about doppelgangers.

“You are wasting your time the books will say that a doppelganger is a German word meaning the spirit of a persons ghost whereas I know that a doppelganger is the ghost of a person and then it is the second ghost of a dead person."

Giles faced both of them,

“My friend, the policeman told me something that I cannot explain nor can I begin to explain it, the girl in the back seat of the car died last night, thing is it was the last words the girl spoke before she died. She said that Karen was a passenger on the front seat of the car and that Karen had just told her that Susan had died.”

Willow asked Giles why he had thought that.

“How could Karen have thought that Susan had just been knocked over when you say she was in the front seat of the car. Another thing, does anyone know what type of vehicle struck the girl?”

Buffy looked to Willow, then they looked to Giles.

“That does add an air of incredulity to what we have learnt,” said Willow

Even though she was not understanding how a person without the use of magic could have do such a thing, being in two places at once.

“There is another way, my friend in the police force said about them not knowing what type of vehicle struck the girl and that it didn’t stop at the scene,” said Giles.

Checks were made on CCTV at traffic intersections and any known camera positions. The vehicle had been tracked to a garage some 15 miles from the where the girl had died. The girls injuries were such that she had caught the head light and wing of the truck and the driver may not have seen the girl. Several hours after the next morning Willow and Buffy were able to meet the other girl.

Susan and the lad who had the party where he lived, the lad said the girl wanted to leave the party to chase the girl to make her run passed where she had been killed – to help her live. Susan told them that after she had left the party the Karen had called her name a few times but no more. Willow told Susan that the foot prints showed the two girls as having run from the party not far apart.

Buffy asked Susan if she knew why Karen seemed to chase her, Susan told Buffy that they had had a chat in the party. Karen said she had been trying to find out why she had kept reliving the same day repeatedly, Karen said she had come to the belief that she had to save Susan’s life. Buffy and Willow were left trying to understand that the girl had lived the same day repeatedly for 32 days, they tried to explain to Giles about the Karen’s death but no words seemed to adequately explain what they meant.

Buffy Investigates Part 5

Giles had been told by his friend in the police force that a town a couple of hours up the coast was experiencing a lot of strange noise in the day and night time. He said that the local police had not been able to trace the cause of the sound, he asked Giles if he knew someone who might be able to help them.

Giles said he was a bit dubious as to if his people could be able to help but he did say that he would send them to the town to see if they could help. Willow told Giles that they would be taking Amy with them so Giles arranged for somewhere to stay for the three girls. So Buffy, Willow and Amy went to the coastal town.

When they got to where they were staying the lady of the house told Willow that several packages had been found been found washed up on the shore early one morning. During the morning the police announced that what was discovered on the shore had not been drugs but were ten baby whales.

The emergency craft were sent out to roam the sea up to three hundred yards off shore and five miles either side of the town. The police were confused by the baby whales being found on the shore. Near to the high point of the days tide Willow and Amy went to the towns jetty, after changing into their swimming costumes they put on their self-contained underwater breathing apparatus ready for when they got in the water.

They swam to the sea floor to look for evidence of other whales being in the area. Buffy spent the day going to the various fishing boats, she wanted to get first hand knowledge of the sounds being heard. In the towns harbour Buffy discovered the crews of many of the towns fishing fleets were in a panic.

The crews had heard the sounds which each of them described as whale song although that did not explained why their ships had been destroyed.
Willow and Amy followed several adult whales as they swam along the coast near the town. After meeting Buffy on the Jetty to discuss their findings. saying that the whale song may have lead the baby whales to the shore.

Amy drew Willow and Buffy’s attention to the fact that not only did whales use whale song but many other mammals did as well. Kim added, "Possibly Porpoises and Dolphins used whale song, plus if you are that way inclined mermaids use whale song to communicate with."
She smiled again as Buffy took what Kim had just said as a humourus comment.

Buffy spent the rest of the day with Kim, the girl she had met on the jetty. They were both interested in finding why and where the whale song was being heard from. In the evening Willow and Buffy joined Amy at the outdoor garden setting. After having a sea food delicacy with chips and baked beans they had a mug of coffee each and listened to the gulls, the sound was soon interrupted by a loud chorus.

That is whale song the whole beach front seems to be alive with the sound.
“Wait a bit, I’m sure I heard some of the whale song behind us,” said Amy.
Willow faced inland from where they were.

“How is that possible, is there any mammal that uses whale song that lives on the land?” asked Willow.
“Come on then lets us get down to the beach, I’d like to know where the sound is coming from. Even when they were at the beach the whale song could be heard all around them."

Buffy rolled her jeans up and took off her shoes, she waded into the water, she suddenly stopped as Kim’s head emerged from the sea and drew closer to Buffy who pointed to her new friend,
“But you are a mermaid!” exclaimed Buffy.

“Yes, I bet you don’t know what the whale song is about,” said Kim. Buffy shook her head.
“A few days ago there was a few of us playing in the water near here when one of us was noticed to not be with us. The one of us who had gone missing was Aserme. Since then we have been calling for her with no success, until a bit earlier,” said Kim.

“So have you heard from her?” asked Amy.
Kim smiled, “She had been caught in a trawlers net, luckily the fisherman who found her kept her a secret from all others and kept her safe. Tonight was the first we had heard from Aserme, the fisherman who caught her is bringing her back to the water,” said Kim.

Amy spoke up, “But there has been so much whale song,” said Amy. Kim smiled, “Aserme was one of the many mermaids from here and she was very popular, even amongst the whales. When she does make it back to the water there will be a lot of noise.” Buffy smiled to her new friend, “I am glad that all is well,” said Buffy.

Buffy Investigates Part 6

It had been seven weeks since Giles had heard from his friend in the police force so when he did receive a phone call from him it was a surprise. Giles wanted to know how the results had been from the previous times they had helped him, the police officer said the findings had caused him to gain rank.

“Now I am known as Detective Anderson, though that is beside the point of why I am ringing you word has filtered through about a medium inland from here. The medium known as Madam Wisconsin has been stated as good,” said Det. Anderson.

Giles suggested that he could send a couple of people to investigate in a few days. Giles spoke to Buffy at the meal that evening. Buffy accepted what Giles said though she wasn’t very concerned by the prospect of how dangerous a medium could be asking Willow and Dawn to accompany her. Two days later once Willow had her car serviced the three of them piled their bags of clothes and teddy bears into the boot of Willow’s car.

So began the journey to see the medium. Dawn was not very happy in the car as although it was one of the first times she had the opportunity to wear high heels there was not enough legroom for her that may have had something to do with the lack of headroom as well, something that made Buffy smile. Buffy was secretly glad that Willow was not going to let Dawn sit in the passenger seat.

When they got to the town, they found the rooms were at an old house secreted away from the bustling metropolis of the town’s population of twenty five thousand. After they had a meal in Buffy’s room Willow placed a local telephone directory on the table, several pages of advertisements were for local businesses.

One of which was for the medium, Willow said she had tried to make a booking for that evening but the medium was too busy that evening although they could see the medium the following morning. Willow wasn’t too sure as the room needed to be dark for them to see a ghost. The person who answered the phone laughed saying if that was too much of a problem they could always draw the curtains.

Agreeing to meet at ten thirty in the morning Willow had begun to feel embarrassed. Looking about the bedroom Dawn asked if either of them could think of a friend to try and make contact with.

“She does have a point, most of those we know who have died were vampires and would probably be in hell,” said Willow.
“I had thought of that, the one who I suggest is Cassie plus I would like to know how she is,” said Dawn.

Agreeing with her Buffy, Willow and Dawn started to make a list of questions to ask her. At Madam Wisconsin’s house the girls were invited into a room that was presented to them as where the dead felt most at ease, with every reflective surface covered. Buffy questioned why the cloths draped over the mirrors, pictures and the television screen were white crotchet and not dark cotton.

Madam Wisconsin replied that white cloth about the room gave the room an air of happiness whereas if a dark cotton was used the room took on a nasty feel. Dawn stared at the net curtains and smiled, she agreed with Madam Wisconsin.

“Now you girls may have a particular person that you wish to contact but last night someone contacted the séance I was holding with other people, the person said she would make contact today but that was before I said about you three being here today,” said Madam Wisconsin.
“What was her name?” asked Dawn.

“She said her name is Darla,” said Madam Wisconsin.

Willow looked shocked to Buffy, Buffy began to nod,

“It was a long time ago but I’m fairly sure I killed her once either that or I was in the room,” said Buffy.
“I know that she was brought back to life once, released from hell. She even wanted to die later,” said Willow upon looking at Buffy who was shaking her head.

"I do not want to tell Madam Wisconsin that Darla had been a vampire. That would have opened a tale that was too big to explain to the medium."

With each of them sat around the table Dawn asked if they could speak to Cassie first. Feeling a breeze in the room Madam Wisconsin was worried.

“There are no places where wind can flow into this room,” she said. The breeze continued each of them sat back as the cover on the television fell off. “What could happen now?” asked Buffy.
Madam Wisconsin grimaced, “An image of a ghost could appear in the reflective surface of the screen.”

“Fear not my dears, for I have told Darla to keep away from you, she was quite acceptable to my idea.”

Buffy looked at the television to see who had said that. From the side of her eye she noticed Dawn pointing to behind her.

“The screen can also let the ghost enter the room,” said stuttered Dawn.

Buffy turned and looked at the ghost who was looking at her,

“Mom? Mom? MOMMY!” cried Buffy aloud.

Buffy Investigates Part 7

Giles had just set himself a plate of McVyties Jaffa Cakes when the telephone started to ring, he tried to swallow the half a Jaffa Cake he had just put in his mouth in order to answer the telephone, as soon as he did though he heard the voice of his friend in the police force,

“What is it?” asked Giles.

Giles listened as his friend began to talk about how a friend of his had died on a boat. Giles said he would notify his people and send them to look at the body. Giles stated he would want a full write up on what was found at the scene. Giles rang Buffy and told her what the police had told him, Buffy rang Willow to invite her to be with her for the journey to the river and the morgue.

Willow smiled at the prospect of yet another jaunt to a morgue,

“Still at least it isn’t for a vampire,” stated Willow.

A bit later that day the three of them ventured to the morgue to look at the body. Each of them looked to each other, Giles grinned,

“From what my friend said I was told I thought it was a man’s body we had come here to see although I suppose there was nothing the policeman said to indicate that it was a man or a woman.”

Buffy and Willow started reading through how she had died. Willow was confused about the reason for her death. Considering she was wearing a buoyancy vest and that she had no air in her lungs neither Willow nor Buffy could explain why. They considered drowning but the coroners finding showed there was no evidence of any salt water on the inside linings of her lungs or her throat.

There appeared that nothing she had worn could be responsible for the drowning. After several hours of trying to contemplate how the girl could have died Willow questioned Buffy.

“Did it get specified that she was wearing the buoyancy vest or the Bullet Proof vest?” asked Buffy.

Surprised by what Willow had said she was equally as surprised then declined her reasoning.

“She was on the boat so she must have been wearing a buoyancy vest,”

Buffy then thought about what they had found.

“She must have been wearing the buoyancy vest on the boat so why was she in a police bullet proof vest when her body was presented at the morgue?”

Willow asked Buffy about her reasoning,

“If that was as it happened then it follows that she was killed by a policeman while she was going to the morgue and if that is true who made the report of her death?”

Both Buffy and Willow asked Giles.

“To investigate the initial happenings of the case.”

Giles contacted his friend in the police force. The message was that the police were sent to the boat though there was nothing to indicate how the message had begun. Giles relayed it as he had been told, the police message started in its time at the police station. Both Willow and Buffy took to seeking what individual relationships between police officers were taking place at the station.

After almost a week they discovered that a woman senior police constable and her daughter a police constable would be on a boat but her daughter was a problem to the relationship with the woman and male senior constable. In order for the senior officers to live together the woman’s daughter needed to be removed from the situation.

The male senior constable took a modified bullet proof vest for the daughter to wear, it expanded when the daughter wore it just enough to stop the daughter being able to breathe in. Her mother was able to travel in the ambulance and changed her police vest for a normal one. It was only when Willow discovered the modified one that an understanding could be made which lead to the daughter murder being uncovered.

Not long after Giles had told his friend, the two senior officers were arrested and charged and placed in custody. Giles' friend in the force revealed his son was dating the police constable who had been murdered.

Buffy Investigates Part 8

It was late in the day when Giles was at his home that he received a visit from his friend in the police force, the detective said he had come to see him because the subject was so very dubious he almost felt embarrassed to bring up such a subject with him. Giles asked him to explain in the greatest detail that he could so he could inform those he would send to investigate.

“You’d better warn her them what to expect,” said the police officer.

“You have yet to say what is the matter,” said Giles.

“Cheerleaders from one of the local high schools have been taken from their school grounds, the girls were taken as seventeen year old girls in the teams uniforms. When they were found they were discovered wandering the streets still wearing the uniform of the schools cheerleaders, one of the problems was the girls were discovered to be least eighty years old. No one I know has been able to give me an explanation of the situations as yet,” said the police officer.

“Then I will call she who I trust the most, she will bring those who she trusts,” said Giles.

Willow confronted Giles and asked.

“What are we meant to do, to find out where the girls are or to find out who took them.”

Giles replied to Willow, he said.

"The police are at a loss with this case they could not understand how the girls had lost so many years of their age, who had taken them and why?”

Willow turned to Buffy,

“This one sound right up the path of the slayer though even you will have problems explaining this one,” said Willow.

Buffy spent that night reading the books of previous vampire slayers. In the morning she met up with Willow and Giles in a library. She gave him the books she had borrowed.

“One of the things I learnt was that there are several kinds of vampires, killing them is pretty much the same though one would need to be correct or the vampire could get up and go. The best known traits of vampires is that they drink blood though there are many kinds who do. Some are renowned to bite people on the neck but there are those who prefer the arm and some that bite the legs. Many do not mind spilling blood while many see the drinking of blood to be valuable concern. Then there are those who seek a person’s mental faculty while another kind of vampire takes a person youth, as this case proves."

Buffy asked Giles,

"Can you find out from the police where the girls were taken I need to know where the cheerleaders were due to go."

“In that case I think it is fair to assume that the cheerleaders were targeted because of their age, in order not to discredit us can you ask the police to find out their names and the age of each of them?” asked Willow.

“I can but is there a specific reason for knowing their names and ages?” asked Giles.

“I think I know but it might be best if we hear what Willow has got to say,” said Buffy.

“Thanks, if the vampire only seeks a person age, by us knowing the girls name as well we can trace the girls who might be targeted next.”

“I must admit that does make sense, yet when I contact the police to find out the girls ages I will get them to provide you with a list of where the girls live,” said Giles.

Three days later Giles gave Buffy and Willow a list each of the remaining cheerleaders, looking through the list Willow noticed that there was three girls a year under seventeen, Willow suggested to Buffy that Dawn be asked to join them so that each of the younger girls could be followed. Buffy, Willow and Giles met to agree how to kill the vampire when they caught it.

Neither Buffy or Giles knew which method would be best. Willow suggested that the vampires head be cut off. Both Giles and Willow looked to Buffy.

“Cutting a person’s head off is something I do not know how to do properly."

Buffy cheekily smiled.

"But I will,” said Buffy happily.

Agreeing what to do both Willow and Buffy took a name from the list, Giles was asked to follow another of the girls with Dawn.

“We need someone to protect you,” said Willow cheekily.

The girl who Giles and Dawn followed led them to a wishing well. Giles and Dawn waited there until the girl left the well, Giles then shone a torchlight down to the bottom of the well. At the bottom there were several portraits, neither Giles or Dawn knew who the portraits were of. That evening once Giles and Dawn had recounted their findings Willow sat back on her chair and faced Buffy.

“I had not thought of that, could it be that the girl you two followed was the vampire,” said Buffy.

"Like a Dorian Gray?" asked Willow.

"If she was then could it be that the paintings were of the cheerleaders who had been taken. It might be the vampires choice to destroy a painting when her age was to old, that way when the painting was destroyed the cheerleader would be young again and be an easy target for the vampire,” said Willow.

“Then I think it best that I kill the vampire first before destroying the paintings so each cheerleader can be her correct age again,” said Buffy.

Once the deeds were done the cheerleaders who had gone missing were found and reconciled with their family and friends.
