Buffy inviting Spike inside

Hey! I just watched "Weight of the World" and the part where Buffy has to invite Spike into her house makes no sence to me! Why did she need to invite him inside? If I remember correctly, he was in her house in "Becoming"

Joyce: Have we met before?
Spike: Uh. you hit me in the head with an ax.

So what happened? I think I musta missed something?

In the episode, "Crush" Buffy asks Willow to work magic and do the 'uninvite spell' on the Summers home that we saw her do to Angel in season two. Willow does the spell to uninvite Spike because she is concerned about his 'affection' for her.

Therefore, the next time that Spike is needing to go into Buff's house, she has to invite him in because of the spell a few episodes earlier.

It as actually during The Gift that Buffy had to invite Spike into her house the second time. SpikedBuffy is right however, Willow had previously cast a spell to block Spike from Buffy's home again after Buffy discovered that he had an obsession with her in Crush meaning that she had to invite him in again later on. They did the same with Angelus back in the season two episode, Innocence.

Maybe slightly off-topic here, but I have to say that this is a really beautiful scene. When Buffy invites Spike back into her home, it was a gesture showing how much she trusted him to protect Dawn if she couldn't. And his lines to her restore his dignity after two years as the comic relief.

As much as I'm a big fat NO-head when comes to Spuffy, for me that scene was a highlight moment in the season. As was already said, it shows how much Buffy trusts Spike with Dawn's life... Aww, crap. I like a Spuffy moment!

Spike and Buffy Moment

It's sweet. And then in Season Seven it sort of follows up when Spike goes to find Buffy and talks to her aftre she's been kicked out. He says: When I say I love you, it's not because I want you...
It just shows that althought those two never had what she and Angel had they still have each other in their hearts sort of thing. Buffy admits it to Angel in the end of Season 7 so yea...
