Buffy just gets better...

Maybe it's beacuse I'm new to the Buffy world and have not seen any episodes up until a month ago, but this gets better with every episode.

While I'm not quite ready to proclaim this as the world's greatest show in the history of civilization, and do one of these to Joss :bow:, it does make me wonder when the fun will end.

Dracula--fun fun fun!
Dawn--You fans from the beginning must have been like "What the...where did she come from?"

Anyway, this is one great show and loaded with fun (mostly due to Xander). Though I could have been as happy with less Riley, Adam, and the I-team.
 
Don't worry - once you've been at it a bit longer you will be bowing to Joss like the rest of us 😉

I remember when the Dawn thing happened, I was pissed - I couldn't believe Joss was just going to have us believe that there had been a sister all this time. But then we got the explanation and I calmed down lol

I know how you feel. To be honest I missed the first episode of Season 5 when it first aired in the UK, so when I tuned into the next one and saw Dawn I was like, what the F*@k did I miss!!!!

Once it was all explained I understood but it was a very confusing time for me!

It's quite nice seeing how excited you are getting from a newbies perspective. I've forgotten that feeling I've seen the Buffy and Angel episodes that many times that I know almost all the words for all of them.

hahha I saw one season 5 ep when it aired and i hadn't watched it but had saw bits with my grandmother and the first thing i said was "when did Buffy get a sister?!"

About the Dawn thing... I was one of those who watched all the episodes in the completely wrong order (then again, there might not be a "one of those", I might be the only one). I saw basically all the episodes before I saw Real Me. And when I first saw Dawn I thought she must have been in the show all along, and I just hadn't noticed her before 😀
 
I was lucky in that i caught the very first episode the first night it debuted on Sky One and never missed a single new episode of either Buffy or Angel after that, so got to watch every episode of both series in the right order.

Can't imagine not having done so now. iId hate to have not seen the show develop the way it was meant to.

Though I never watched Buffy while it was actually still running (a friend gave me all of her dvd copies to watch just last year) I did get to see them in order from the very first episode on....and I agree...I'm glad I got to see it that way and didn't just jump into it somewhere in the middle...it made everything make so much more sense. All the little references to previous episodes that you otherwise wouldn't catch, etc.
 
When Dawn popped up I was like what the ----!!! Where the ---- did that ----- come from!!!! I was like the ----- is evil when Bufft did that spell!!!
 
I agree Buffy does get better, but i still love the earlier seasons (especially season 2), and i loved season 7 - when you've seen that you will praise the Joss!

I was confused aswell when Dawn showed up, at first i thought have i missed a season?.. How and Why is she here?.. How can they just throw her in with no explanation? What the hell is happening??!!
But then we found out so it was all good and i calmed down.

Yeah I really screwed up the whole show by watching it the way I did, I really reget it. But it just took me such a surprisingly long time before I got/let myself get how great BtVS really was. So I just thought that "“ hey, this show is just some silly Sabrina-thing, why would it matter in which order I watch the episodes?

(Stupid stupid epo...)
 
I saw it from halloween onwards whenever it was on Sky for the very first time, in the right order and never missed one.

Its the best way. You dont miss bits 🙂

I wasnt a fan of Riley, Adam or the Initiative either 🙂

And season 3 was the best! Oz AND Faith! 😀
 
I watched the episodes in order...from way back when s1 first aired...and when Dawn came, I was kinda like: "Okay, Buffy now has a sister. What, did she adopt her during one of the commercials, cuz she hasnt been in the rest of the episode."
 
I only started watching Buffy on tv during season 5, but I didn't watch it regularly. I mostly watched reruns on FX. And I didn't watch a single episode og Angel on tv, I got all of the seasons on DVD, instead.
 
Well, I had stopped watching mid season four (stupid WB didn't like my cable provider), and I had talked to a friend who watched the show and was telling me about Dawn, and I was seriously confused! I was thinking "Who the heck is Dawn? That really did throw everyone for a loop.

Therefore, I started watching again during baby-sitting (I nannied for a family and made sure the kids were in bed early so I could watch what I had taped at 8:30 every Tuesday)!
 
I was really confused when Dawn showed up also. Since I started watching Buffy in season 4, I thought that Dawn was just on vacation or something till season 5. When they did the whole explanation, it cleared everything up for me.

I agree that Buffy gets better and better. I don't own seasons 4-7 but season three is by far the best out of the first three. I haven't seen the other four seasons in a long time but I know that season 5 is very good.
 
i watched from that very first ep (i think i was about 12 when the first one aired in the UK) but when Dawn showed up, i was like...'Oh, she must have been living with her father all this time. How come no one ever mentioned her?'
and then when they explained it all, i was like 'Duh, Lyri!'
i would have hated not seeing the eps in order...i would have been WAY more confused!
 
At first I also thought she had been with her dad all that time. A lot of things went through my mind when Dawn came into the picture 🙂
