I found this on the Dreamwatch site about the closure of Titan Magazine's Buffy/Angel title -

The last ever issue of the official Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel magazine will go on sale next month.

The magazine was first published as Buffy the Vampire Slayer magazine in 1999, when the show was in its third season, and incorporated Angel magazine in 2005. It has remained popular with fans, even though the last season of Buffy aired in 2003.

The last issue of the magazine is a special 100-page edition with a commemorative wraparound cover and a farewell message from Buffy and Angel creator Joss Whedon. It also includes interviews with Nick Brendon, Juliet Landau, Mercedes McNab and Mark Lutz.

I haven't bought the magazine in a long long time. (Most of the information you could find online...for the bargainous price of NOTHING) But I might buy the last ever issue...just because its the last ever issue lol.

A
Angel's vision
well said! plus they could never get any of the facts right sometimes!
(Most of the information you could find online...for the bargainous price of NOTHING)

Yeah, and the info that wasn't online was usually false. Still, that's a pretty good run for a dead TV series.

I've only bought it once I think, but still it's a bit sad, I will miss seeing the magazine at my sci fi store.. hm.

urgh, why does it ALWAYS have to be Bangel? lol...i'll probably still buy it anyway,'cause it's the last issue.

I can't say that I'll really miss either title, since I only read a few of the later issues, but I would like to ask those who read the earlier issues: Did Sarah ever give an interview? It just seems strange to me that she has made a conscious effort to disassociate herself from the show and everything pertaining to it since the cancellation.

i bought it yesterday...there's a very funny message from Joss on the back page. lol

as far as i know, SMG never did an interview...i wasn't an avid collector of the mag, it never bothered me if i missed an issue, but i did grab quite a few copies, and i can't remember an interview with SMG...strange.

Here are some highlights from the last issue of the mag (found via Whedonesque). Obviously they want you to buy the mag to see the full articles 🙂 -

THE LAST WORD, BY JOSS WHEDON

What made Buffy & Angel Magazine really special to me wasn't just seeing pictures of my friends (although it is a statistical impossibility to have too many photos of Amy Acker), it was the reporting. So many of these "˜fan mags' are just fluff, but the reporters on Buffy & Angel dug deep. Who knew Christian Kane was addicted to Mentos, that Nicky has a vestigial tail, that Mercedes McNab is actually a clone of an alternate-Earth Mercedes McNab? Our fearless reporters weren't afraid to ask the tough questions...

X MAN: THE LAST STAND

For the final issue of Buffy & Angel Magazine we caught up with the fantastic Nick Brendon, for a brief look at his time as Xander and a glimpse at his plans for the future.

JUST JULIET

Whether she was mad, bad, weak, strong, or just plain crazy, there was always one thing about Drusilla that remained the same. Fans always celebrated whenever she turned up. Buffy & Angel Magazine pays homage to a truly special actress.

COVER STORY

She's the talent behind those stunning new Buffy comic covers. Artist Jo Chen talks to Buffy & Angel Magazine about an artistic journey that ended with landing her dream job"¦

PERFECT HARMONY

From her debut in the first episode of Buffy to her final, treacherous appearance in the last episode of Angel, the ditzy Harmony Kendall was a character fans were always pleased to see. Mercedes McNab talks to Buffy & Angel Magazine about the legacy of playing Harmony.

SISTER ACT

From dozens of TV commercials to Dawn Summers on Buffy, a spoiled teen diva on Six Feet Under and groundbreaking independent movies"¦check out our special profile to see how actress Michelle Trachtenberg has always managed to avoid being typecast.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR

Have you ever wondered what the style experts would make of our beloved Buffy and Angelverse characters? Buffy & Angel Magazine goes into the closet to chart the ever changing dress sense and fashion faux pas of the Scooby Gang and Team Angel"¦

As it's the final issue, we thought it only fitting to let some of the people who have contributed over the years have the last few words. Without the fantastic cast of Buffy and Angel, and also all the talented people who have worked behind the scenes, the magazine would never have been possible. So, it's over to them"¦

Hey Buffy & Angel Magazine, I'll miss you. Sorry to hear that you'll be leaving us. I've enjoyed your many issues over the years. Hard to believe that I'll no longer be able to stop by a newsstand and keep up with what my friends and family in the Buffyverse are up to.

Camden Toy "“ The Gentleman Gnarl, Ubervamp and Prince of Lies

Brand X Management (Music Managers for Christian Kane)

To be honest, I'm not going to say it's always been easy to put this mag together "“ because it hasn't. But it has always been enjoyable "“ mainly because of you, the readers. So to everyone who ever wrote a letter, sent in a drawing, photo, story, puzzle, poem "“ or even sent me a picture of your tattoos "“ I'd just like to say thank you. You all contributed to this magazine in a very special way. Thanks to everyone for some incredible memories "“ I'll miss you all.
