What is there out there to get?

I have Buffy seasons 1 2 and 3 on DVD (4 coming out soon - woohoo!), I have the BtVS soundtrack, and Once more with Feeling soundtrack on CD. I am thinking of also getting the Ghost of the Robot CD via internet order (James Marster's band).

Are the comics worth reading? Any favorite novels that don't muck around too much with the continuity of the show? Action figures? (lol) Any recomendations at all for a borderline-psychotic fan? 🙂

Ps: Playing the OMWF soundtrack on a powerful car-audio system with the windows down is sure to garner you a few odd looks hehe.

a really good place is www.buffystore.com

Its a US site but they post everywhere in the world, I recommend it.

Hey, nice. I think I just might fancy a 'Buffy Lives' pin. hehe

I'm really interested to hear people's impressions of the novels though. Reading a novel that breaks the continuity of character will make me wish I never read it.

Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder (in my opinon) are the best Buffy novel writers. There have been other ones that are good but you do read the above writers books and you do think "Yep, that is exactly what Xander would say"

almost every thing is out there! im savin' up for the Faith replica weapon! thats gunu rock! £150 though...

I agree with they are both great writers on Buffy and they know the characters.

I've just read "Spike & Dru: Pretty Maids All in a Row" by Christopher Golden, and it was really, really good. It took place in 1940, during WW2, and dealt with the potential slayers. Golden really has all the characters down (well, Spike and Dru at least), and the characters he adds are really quite interesting and relateable!

Lol! If you're looking for books, I always say this, but you have to get the four Lost Slayer books by Christopher Golden. He completely captures the essence of the characters. Right now, I'm reading Oz: Into the Wild, and for a character like Oz who is so limited, it's amazing how well Golden brings him out. The Lost Slayer...I cried, I laughed, I couldn't stop reading; every scene is intense whether it's fighting or emotional. Here's a little description of the storyline from amazon.com:
Buffy Summers's adjustment to life at U.C. Sunnydale has not gone smoothly. She feels awkward, insecure, and jealous that Willow's all over the college life. So when she is visited by a prophecy of impending danger, the timing couldn't be worse. There's plenty of evil afoot as it is: a unified troop of vampires has descended upon Sunnydale, and tension between Buffy and Willow gets in the way of demon hunting.

Before long, a single moment of bad judgment catapults Buffy into an alternate future dimension where vampires reign supreme. Imprisoned in the body of her 24-year-old-self -- and confronting friends and foes the likes of which she'd never imagined -- the Slayer must uncover her past misstep and correct it, or risk facing a terrifying monster that she herself has created....
If you're looking to just have some fun, I recommend buying the Buffy Board Game, although I think there may be more than one? Either way, get the game, force your friends to play, and you'll beat them miserably, which is always fun.🙂

BuffyUKer... do you have a picture of the replica knife you plan on buying? I think, one of these days, I'd like to get one myself.

Hee Hee...I own ANYTHING Buffy/Angel related...

Shameless plug....I've been reviewing B/A novels at the link in my sig. Just in case ya'll need any advice on which ones to pick out.

I have the buffy soundtrack (original one from around S4 I think it was) and have S3 and S6 DVDs on order.

If ya wsnt a good book the lost slayer ones are great and as some one said so are the book of fours

Sweet, AshSan... is the Shinzon's dagger exactly a replica of Faith's? I'm checking it out; it's the one Buffy merchandise I'm always looking for.🙂

My friend has it! (lucky girl!!!)

I have alot of unusual Buffy stuff. For my birthday I got a Buffy mousepad for my desk here at work, and it says "Jenny's Desk" in the Buffy font 🙂 I got a Buffy cigarette case/wallet with a lighter in it!

The coolest thing..my friend HAND-PAINTED me this...2 Buffy wine glasses with the LOGO on it..OMG they are awesome! She took a pic of them, I should get her to send it and post it!

Oz it is as far as I know, but Im not a big knife fan. Im sure out there they'll be a site showing all knives featured on TV shows and films.

redslayer, what a friend you have there. Do you use them or keep them safe as they are exclusive.

Got my S6 DVDs today, about 5 days sooner than I expected. Gonna watch The Gift later on Sky then get into some serious Buffy watchage!

She's great! And talented, she got the logo exact. Very impressive! Well we drank out of them that night, but since then I've had them in my china cabinet, right at the front! They look so pretty when I turn on the pot-lights! All Buffy-like and illuminated! 🙂

Sniff - Season 6...I just got Season Two of Angel! 🙂 It'll be a while before we get Season 6 here.

Im going to get bashed but i dont think that any of the merchandise is as good as the show with the exeption of the dvd's and the soundtracks of course, but the majority is to make money, especially alot of the books, they seemed to be rushed and dont really suit the characters, also theres no real character development in them because of course they are supposed to coincide with the show.

The Buffy Game for PS2 "Chaos Bleeds" is pretty cool.
And I have several Buffy books, they are "ok" none of them are great, but as a Buffy fill in they will do, considering they are like 7 dollars..
The comics are good, not the best drawing, but the stories are interesting.
I explained a lot of this in my Journal at my site, so I will put a link to that page.. It has links to other pages as well.
Ciao
