Buffy/MGS crossover?

I'm working on this idea of crossing over the MGS games with Buffy by inserting some Buffy/Angel characters into the mix post-Chosen (as this when the events of all the MGS games occur according to an official timeline) I'll disregard the comics for the fic, it'll make things easier. Any thoughts?

What's MGS?

And generally spoken, I don't think crossovers of two completely different things ever go well. First, chances are they're living in different universes (for example, just compare vampires on Buffy with vampires on Charmed) so they wouldn't even match at all. On top of that, not all readers might like both things. And if half of the story is about something they don't know/like, it's boring to read.

MGS is Metal Gear Solid, a series of video games. And I only have to work Buffy characters into the MGS plot, all of the MGS games take part after Season Seven of Buffy and Season Five of Angel. There is also a supernatural element in MGS, most of the boss characters have special powers of some kind, and one particular boss in MGS2 is actually a Romanian vampire (creatively named Vamp)

If you ever want some good examples of Buffy crossover fiction, try Twisting the Hellmouth A lot of it is crap, but an almost equal amount is at least worth a read. A few of them are long running series that really work too. I recommend the Tabula Avatar stories, and the Origin of the Species series.

Well, there's a vampire of sorts in MGS. His code name is Vamp and it's not because he drinks blood.
