Buffy Minus Scoobies

I have a lot more faith in the writers capabilities, I don't think Buffy would have been put in situations that put her face down and unconscious in water.
It may have been that walk on roles would have been added, week by week rather than the regular positions of the scoobies. Who knows? the series could have been more interesting.
But, whatever the outcome, I'm sure that with writers like Joss Whedon, Marti Noxon and Jane Espenson the series would have been worth watching.
Heck, Buffy may not have even gone to a school, she may have been a waitress.

These are assuming she'd have approached Prophecy Girl in the same way. Without her friends, would she have had the courage to face the prophecy like that? Even if she had, with so much less to lose would she have fought differently? It's not quite as cut and dry as that.

My point was that she would not have lasted as long as she did.

I think we got our answer to this in The Wish.

I disagree. The Wish is a world where Buffy didn't go to Sunnydale. Now if Buffy came to Sunnydale and had no friends, I think it's as the others said, she'd have died by The Master's hands or even before that.

InsaneMystic agrees: ...so The Master wouldn't have been stopped, and could have rebuilt SD according to his own vision. Hardly different from the Wishverse, no?

You're right. I guess I was mostly thinking about Buffy's fate. Without friends, Buffy would have died, hence Wishverse without Buffy. 🙂
