Once again Buffy is set to miss another release date, set by Electronic Arts, the Promised August 16th release date is fast approaching and retail sites are changing to August 23rd... some sites are saying September and a spokesman for EA unnoficially told a mag that he/she did not think it would reach the shelves before October.... 🙁 🙁 🙁

This after Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls III's push back... things are looking bleak... after all the US has had M:TEL3 for at least a month now on their Xbox and we're supposed to wait.. I Want my Buffy!!!
 
Well, all the Point Of Sale merchandising has been printed already.

A mate of mine got me a rather nice computer generated Buffy stand up that his company had printed. All I need to do now ids find somewhere to stand it 🙂
 
Yeah, I would like to hope it comes to Gamecube eventually, but I doubt it will. If this did happen, it would make sense to port it to the PS2 as well. The advertisements do so much mentioning of "X-BOX EXCLUSIVE", I doubt it would later be released on multi-platforms.
 
Microsoft have the rights to the game at the minute... prolly until somthing like 2004/5 but Buffy 2 is already in the works...

Anyway... the NEW release date is.... Drum Roll If You Please...

And the funny thing is... Buffy is set to go up against the GameCubes killer app 'Resident Evil' The Remake on release day... There could be a software battle, there could there could there could!!! 😀 😀 😀
 
Yeah sometimes the contracts used makes it exclusive for only a time period.
 
My only complaint is that it's not coming out on PS2. A big "WHAH" from me. ::thumb::

They say Friday 13th and you believe them? Lin honey, I wouldn't buy anything on that day; it could mean your X Box will electrocute you (lket's face it you've nearly worn teh hand players away already😉 😉 )
 
RRP for an Xbox is 199, games go from 24 - 45 pounds at the moment here in the UK...

It's definately going to be september 13th... thank god.... I really can't wait for this game... I bought enclave today... a big thing just killed me though and I canne get past him...

Me too. I so badly want to play that game. Hey, I thought they were also gonna work the game onto the PC.

Buffy Game Ready

Electronic Arts announced that its long-awaited Buffy the Vampire Slayer video game is ready to ship and will reach retailers on Aug. 19, the GameSpot Web site reported. The game, developed by The Collective for the Xbox gaming platform, is based on the hit UPN series of the same name.

The Buffy video game is a third-person actioner that places the emphasis on combat. Players take the role of Buffy to battle vampires and other enemies in both armed and unarmed combat.
 
Yeppers... Buffy has gone Gold on the Xbox... we might even see an earlier release but I doubt it.... keep them fingers crossed though... the time is nigh people... prepare... prepare....

Hopefully they've added save points to levels, instead of having to start over every time you die.... Enclave is a begger when it comes to dieing...
 
Luckily enough the accountants I work for have a magazine under their belt... which reviews games for the Xbox... on an audit I was lucky enough to get a peek at the game and their one complaint was the fact that there were no save points during the levels... and some of these levels are quite long...

Another long awaited game 'Enclave' for the Xbox looks fab and plays well but the in game save system is awful aswell as the combat system... it seems the game was pushed to meet it's deadline...

So even though I'm hating EA for pushing Buffys release back, I'm hoping the Collective have ironed out these glitches... that caused Enclave to get modest reviews... now after Buffy... comes Morrowind!!!!!! (Sept 27)
 
I heard that Morrowind is a great game.

The longer they delay Buffy, the better, I think. Hopefully, any flaws in Buffy will be ironed out in the extra time.

Rareware is infamous for its delays, mainly of Perfect Dark, and that turned out to be a magnificent game.
 
The impaling in the game is fantastic... some sick little man really worked hard on the staking aspect of the game... as for the first training level, I was hoping that it would be in the magic box... you know... a kind of Lara Crofts Mansion type training... no pressure to follow a person around and whack things to a bloody pulp but if The Collective have stuck with the original idea which I think they have, since the level made it into the earlier versions I'm gonna have to stick with Giles taking me around a graveyard or somthing... 🙁

I Want the Magic Box... maybe in Buffy 2
 
Ugh.. I already have a PS2, i'm gonna get a GC for the next Perfect Dark... I really don't want to have to buy an XBox too. But this game is so tempting. lol

Stupid console wars 😛
