Buffy Movie Fan Action?

Hi.
First time I've posted here; but visited quite a bit. Don't know if this is an appropriate thread or not...? But as a die-hard Buffy/Angle fan (am watching the series DVD's through for the 6th time🙂 I was interested in the comments at the panel discussion on March 30 with the cast of Buffy in L.A. concerning a Buffy movie...if the fans wanted it bad enough. Seth Green was speaking directly to this in reference to the FireFly film. So! How or where does one do this? Is there already a petition/writing campaign/email address us Buffy geeks can contact to help generate interest in this?
Any info would be helpful. If it's already on this site (which I kind though there would be) I missed it. If not; why not get one started?:cheering:

It isn't about petitions, writing or email campaigns that will get something like this kicked off and if that is what was suggested at the panel, the Joss and co had no right to ask.

Time and again these sorts of things have been done by the fan and time and again they have been ignored by the execs because in essense they mean nothing.

The people who greenlight these projects look at one simple thing, $$$$$$$$

If that is coming in then they will make it. They are business men, they need the proof that it is still a viable business deal.

To that end, all the Buffy Comics, the Angel Comics, books and DVD's, buying those are what will encourage a movie. If you don't buy them, then try maybe that will be the enticement to the big guys, but otherwise, probably not going to happen.

But mostly, save your ink and your time as writing/petitioning/emailing just won't do anything.

I think you're talking about the Paley centre panel, right?

Here's what Joss said in response to a question...

# Joss Whedon said that he would give up the comic for a chance to work with the cast again (presumably on a movie). But of the movie possibility, he seemed dubious, "So many stars would have to align."

I agree 100%

And to add on, people always want more buffy, more angel, more firefly, but alot of times cannot afford to, or just don't support any of the books, comics, props and figures. The interest in these is what shows that fans are out there and still crazy about the show enough to bring it back.

But no doubt I think it's possible that if the actors and joss really wanted to pull it together, it could happen. But it's going to be up to them, not us...unfortunately.
