Buffy Movie - Sad News :(

Oh man, that's a bummer 🙁

But hey, it was right in Joss' words, if there's somebody very rich asking him about it...any billionairs among us? ::idea::

one veeeery ugly picture xD

But.. I´m not sad actually. Ok, Buffy is cool and a movie would be great... but I think the movie would be great if happened 2004, 2005 tops... Now would be something to me ashamed of. Bunch of 40s people trying to be cool and all, and nobody want´s to see some weird actors doing the old parts, so... better this way.

That's basically the same answer he has given us everytime...he's interested only when a studio asks him otherwise it's a pipe dream. It's not an unequivocal no but more a I don't know.

That's what I get from it anyway.

I don't think that there's any real surprise in the announcement. The actors have all moved on with their careers. David and Sarah especially have worked very hard to disassociate themselves from their roles and avoid, without a tremendous amount of success, the danger of typecasting. Going back into those roles now would do more harm to their careers than any amount of money could pay for. The best that we can hope for anytime in the forseeable future is a continuation of the comics and MAYBE an animated production of some sort.

It's not a surprise, but I still get depressed when I read those kind of articles. 🙁 Guess it's a good thing I have all the seasons in DVD to satisfy my need for all things Buffy!

ahh that sucks but then again if a movie was done and it was bad it could ruin everything so i dont know, best left as it is

yup, I'm with you on that one!

^ Aww, you think so? Well, there's only 3 of them, maybe we should contact them, via subliminal messages.

Huh, I never thought about it like that before....but I think your absolutely right. Plus, would SMG work with Joss again anyway? Better to keep the buffyverse as it is.:: vampire

If there ever is a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie, and there quite well might be, it will be no time soon (Miss K will probably be a grandmother trying to live with the shame that all of her grandchildren are devout Spuffies) and it will be a "re-vamp" movie with all new actors, except maybe for James Marsters, who will still be awesome in the role of Giles.

I don't blame him for coming out with that, its obvious for now he knows Buffy will work in comics more than on the big screen. But you never maybe he'll change his mind and go ahead with it but for now its clear he's involved in future projects like the Buffy & Angel comics and Dollhouse.

love the banner babe o.O
That's actually a good thing. It just wouldn't be the same. We could wish but our expectations would be so high and we'd be disappointed. Better that anything associated with Buffy/Angel as far as viewing goes, be left ot reruns and DVDs, of which mine are waaay over watched.

agreed. it went out with a bang o.O Thank goodness for boxed sets!!!
I'm not really surprised at this. I think that we should leave BTVS the way it is. While a movie would be great, the time for that is past.
