OOOH I'M ALL GIDDY TODAY CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW SEASON TO START TONIGHT ANYONE ELSE LIKE THIS TODAY ?????????
ON BUFFY NIGHT I GO IN THE BATH GET MY PJ'S ON ORDER HOT'N'SPICEY PIZZA TURN ALL THE LIGHT'S OFF AND SIT IN TOTAL SILENCE TIL FINISHED IF ANYONE SPEAKS THEY REGRET IT! THAT'S WHY MY BF ALWAYS MAKES SURE HE'S OUT EVERY THURSDAY
DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THEIR LITTLE RITUALS THEY GO THROUGH BEFORE WATCHING BUFFY?ANGEL

No need to shout...you can't be that excited 😀. My ritual is to unplug the phone, turn down the lights and light a few candles if it's dark. Then turn on the TV, put the sound throught surround speaker, sit back and enjoy 😀

I just put out the lights and close the door, try to shut myself away from the outside world, turn of MSN, I always watch on my PC (d/load the newest american eps) and I ... well ... I'm not exactly friendly to anyone interrupting me!

LOL

My ritual generally consists of telling my family members or whoever else is around to shut up so I can listen 😀

I don't like missing a single line when it comes to Buffy and Angel.

My ritual involves getting something to drink from the kitchen and turning on the TV. It's remarkably similar to all my other TV rituals, actually.

I like to sit in my chair, get comfy and hope for no interuptions. I normally get interrupted by people so I record it.

well my ritual is after the gym, shower, check the boards, get everthing ready tape at hand, then send my parents to bed (lol) and then get ready to tape, siting on the edge of my chair, ready to shout at the screen if anything really good happens, (my parents really think im mad, i talk to the screen its totally insane)

^_^ half an hour left and counting

My only thing is that I call my friend Chris during the commercials so we can talk about whats going on in the ep. We can't disrupt the show so we have commercial conversations. Its really fun.

I have a bath, get organised, turn off the lights after arguing with my family about the fact that i need to watch this ("oh no you dont" "oh yes i very well do"), then telling everyone really rudely to shut up if they interrupt and i miss a single word. This normally doesnt work well though coz i get told to go into another room to get a lecture on my manners, hence missing a crucial minute (often the most crucial, coz of my luck) of buffy! Lol. Roll on next thursday!

😀

I never thought about having "rituals" before; I just pop my video tape in, set my VCR timer record, and close my door. The alarm on my wrist watch is always set for 7:55pm - just incase the unthinkable happens and I forget to put my tape in.😛

Lol. I used to do the same thing with a friend of mine when we watched Survivor. 😀

I tell everyone that the TV is mine for an hour, so they all go upstairs and watch TV while I sit watching for an hour. I switch the lights off, get the tape set to record, sit back and relax. If anyone phones the house - cause the phone only works downstairs, I ignore it and then press 1471 in the break to find out who it was. Obviously I don't phone them back!

I'd never thought about it before, but yeah we always make sure the kids are in bed, the surround sound is on, the lights are off, tapes in ready to record, something to nibble on (although Sarah my other half, Anya from here usually complains about the nibbling), and we don't answer the door or the phone.

So yeah, I spose you could say we have a ritual. 🙂🙂

My rituals involve, walking into the living room, switching the light on and off 17 times, sitting on the sofa, then getting up for a futher 12 times, then i turn around in a circle twice sit on the floor, sing 'come-bi-ah my lord' and then turning the tv on and off until Buffy comes on! Im Joking! Dont worry, im DO have a life.
No, seriously, i just have to have a glass of lemonade and a chocolate bar beside me while im watching Buffy, thats it really.

hmmm, prepare throwable things, get a drink get the tape ready, tuck my parents away in bed and settle in

i too yell at the screen, i cry and throw things and when something cute happens im like awwwwww.

i didnt speak to my best friend for a week one time cause she called me three times during buffy to ask me about algebra homework, so maybe i overreacted but at the time it was worth it cause shes never done it again! i think a six year addiction deserves respect but thats just me 🙂

Lol, thats a bit extreme! Lol. Id speak to my friend, after shouting for a few minutes at her! Lol.

🙂

but she DIDNT GET IT
and she told me my obsession was stupid and all this other crap so i was like
fine you diss buffy i diss you lol

Officially, 8-10pm on Tuesday nights is 'Phaedra Time' (Phaedra is my name, just so not to confuse you 😛). My parents are highly aware of this. I set my tape from 7:58-10:02pm, then lay back on my bed, and watch. If anyone interrupts -- it's DEATH! My parents think I'm crazy! But, meh.. SOMETIMES, though, the unthinkable happens and I have to WORK on Tuesday nights! If that's the case, I check twice to make sure my tape is set, and then watch Buffy and Angel the next night when I get home from school. When I'm home, and I watch it, as soon as Angel is done, I phone up my best friend and we talk about everything we liked/didn't like, and then, I make my way to the boards!

i'm the same. i get so irritated when someone tries to talk to me during the show. "hello? buffy on!"

Omg, lol! I hate that! I shout at them to be quiet which makes them even more annoyed and determined to speak ( "i can talk if i want to" or "dont shout at me") and lecture, hence making me miss even more of buffy! Lol, its a vicious cycle!

😉
