lol... thats what i do to! I don't eat crisps coz they make a crunching noise while im watching the ep, so i just drink. and at the end of the ep i always clap it!.!.!... so total darkness, totall max volume on the speakers and i put a towl down by the door to stop the light shining through the crack. Oh and i put blue tac over the LED lights on my PC.
 
i have 2 have quiet when i watch buffy. i also shout and tell everyone 2 shut up and end up swearing a lot! i dont eat during it either because i wanna be fully focused on the action. i cry on the sad bits infront of them too. i remember when 'the gift' was on and i was crying, my bro or frirnd didnt laugh or nada!
 
My Buffy Night ritual is to ban everyone from the room from 7.00 onwards(I need to get comfy!) then set my VCR turn out the lights and enjoy🙂
 
Lucky you can ban people from the room! My sister always has to have her two friends over, and they talk all the time which is kinda annoying! So I turn up the volume very pointedly then they shut up! My ritual is make sure that I'm comfy and the VCR is set up properly. 😉
 
They actually shut up?! My family decide if im going to be so rude, theyll purposefully speak louder and more frequently! I would say lol, but its not very funny at the time!
But mostly, i try to watch it by myself, or, sometimes, with another appreciative buffy fan!

I live with my husband, who fortunately loves Buffy and Angel as much as I do. We usually have our 2 best friends, fellow Buffy and Angel lovers William and Jennifer over to our house so we can watch and speculate. We order take-out dinner and perch in front of our TV for an hour uninterrupted. Nobody calls our house, and if they do, the call is screened. Everybody knows not to call us during our shows, so if the phone rings, it had better be an emergency, or we're just not picking up! 😀

Mine is yell at my brothers until they get the idea that if they don't shut up i'll kill them, get a tape ready, a milkshake and sit down and scream at anybody who comes ionto the room, ALOT!
 
The first thing I do is open up my newsreader to alt.binaries.buffy-v-slayer and start downloading the episode I'm just about to watch. That way if I really liked the Ep, I can watch it again right away (and I often do). Then I might open up a chat with a few friends of mine who I have converted into Buffy-holics over the past few years. 🙂

Light's off, TV on, door closed and no one had better disturb me for the next hour. Optional luxuries if I remember them are snacks made, drinks alcoholic or otherwise, box of cigars or Cigs. Sometimes I don't have enough time to gather all that tho. If someone DOES disturb me, I make maniacle shushing motions with my arms, because I don't want to speak and ruin the mood. On commercial breaks I jmight ump over to the computer and chat with my friends about what's going on.

I tried having Buffy/Angel parties with my friends, but the level of acceptable noise in their houses shut that idea down pretty quickly. Nothing is more annoying that missing ANY line of dialogue. 🙂

And having read this thread I think we are all quite possibly candidates for admission to the asylum of your choice. 😛
 
i have something like that, i am lucky me and my girlfriend watch buffy and angel and we love it.
so every thursdays we make sure we have the tv ready nice and loud and we both have drinks and the answer phone is on.
its what makes my week.
 
i dont know if any one else finds this but i havent really seen any of this season of buffy or angel yet ,,, i have seen a couple of episodes ,,,but i just cant cope with sky ones advertising ,, there is 5 ads for every ep ,,, it drives me nuts ,,,,,,,,,,i just cant watch it so i wait untill there release on vid or dvd and watch the season from start to finish in one marathon its grrrrreeeat i love it ,,,,, i do wish sky would stop it tho it really does spoil it !!!!!!any one else agree ?

1. Pray for good reception on my TV (its never good enough).

2. Drink can of Mt. Dew.

3. Watch Buffy till first commercial.

4. Drink can of Mt. Dew.

5. Watch Buffy till next commercial.

6. Drink can of Mt. Dew/Run around screaming O.M.G. O.M.G. O.M.G.

7. Watch Buffy till its over.

8. Howl at ceiling in Anger/Sadness/laughter.

9. Download quality version.

10. Rant and rave on the Buffy-Bords.
 
My ritual is that I head over to one of my friend's houses (usually buffyhelp's) and watch it there. Usually during breaks we discuss the episode, and sometimes during it too, which we usually regret because we always miss some of it, lol.
