Buffy No.2 in the 25 women who shook Sci-Fi!

Gotta, say that is a pretty fair list. Ripley was always going to be number one and I have to say I'm loving the fact that Buffy is number 2 and Starbuck is coming in at number 3. My two favourite badass chicks taking the top honours😀

Willow also features at 21.

I agree with Ripley being number 1. Some great characters are mentioned. Tranformer's lady being number 17 is a crappy choice though.

YAY! Willow, Buffy, Captain Janeway, Rose Tyler, Sarah Jane Smith, Leeloo, Xena, and Ripley all women I love to death! Although, personally, I would have gone with Martha Jones(Doctor Who) instead of Rose Tyler, but Rose works just fine. Gwen Cooper(Torchwood) would have been on my list as well. Overall, excellent list, and I can't really argue against Ripley being the first.
 
Buffy as number two and Starbuck as number three...that's pretty damn cool.
Also, Scully, Sarah Connor, Leeloo, Janeway, Number Six and Willow Rosenberg all really good to see on there.

Damn good to see two BtVS characters in the list, that's pretty awesome.

I do wish they'd chosen Donna instead of Rose, though. And Claire Bennet and the Megan Fox character from Transformers have absolutely no place on this list.

Ripley as number one feels right to me.
Top 5 is actually all great, it's of course especially fun to see Buffy up there.

Beside that I was very glad to see Susan Ivanova. I would rate her much higher though.
She's an old favorite of mine.

Maybe it's because I'm not a Battlestar fan but I find it surprising that Starbuck topped Scully. As much as I love Buffy, I'm surprised she beat Scully too.

Ok, I just read the whole list now and I think it's completely out of order.

How can you justify Claire Bennett AND the chick from Transformers ranking above Wonder Woman AND Xena?!
 
For things like this I take no notice of the order, thats all subjective to me. Having really loving most of these in the list I'm happy for them to be recognized by someone else other than me 🙂
 
At first I was like, Number 2?! What?! Then I saw it was Ripley....yeah she kicked and she deserves to be number one. I was happy to see Willow was on there too! Even one before wonder Woman!:lmao:

Good question. It annoys me a little bit that they are both above Sarah Jane and Willow. Willow, along with Tara, was one of the FIRST openly lesbian women on TV, let alone in Scifi pretty sure that is HUGE leap! Sarah Jane was a companion for arguably the best Doctor in Doctor Who (Tom Baker) and her impact is still being felt with her very own show The Sarah Jane Adventures. Sorry, but both women have done far more for Scifi then either the Claire or the Transformers chick.
