Okay so I bought the Chosen collection, (FIIINALLY!) and I know that iTunes has seasons 1-2 but isn't there some way I can [legally] put my own purchased episodes onto my iPod?

well, not really legally. i mean, i have them on mine, but the dvds are encrypted for piracy and the only way around that is to break it. otherwise, no, you cant get them on your ipod "legally". i have no qualms in doing it because i feel i have paid for my dvds and i should watch them when and how i want. But that goes into a whoooole nuther debate. so really, the answer is no.

That's a strange question coming from a Buffy fan.. wouldn't you want to be able to watch your favorite show anywhere you are? And it's an iPod Touch, so it's a little better than 2 inches.

And thanks LittleMiss, that's about what I thought 🙁

Not really cause it's to small andand the battery only last a little bit.
PurplePoof, I actually rather enjoy having my fav episodes, and i have them on a nano. i watch them on the subway ride to and from work or class, which is a good half hour each way. i couldnt sit and watch a 2 hour movie straight on it, but i def can watch a half hour here, half hour there.

My only gripe is ive teared up in public more than once watching The Wish or Chosen or The Gift. and then i feel like a crazy person lol.

I have that problem...but with the funny episodes. I'll be sitting on the underground during rush hour watching say, Something Blue, and burst out laughing. Funny to see how many people get off the train at the next stop.

One way to get a seat i suppose.

Oh, I've done that before - many a time. Podcasts make me look like a looney, especially if it's not immediately obvious that I'm wearing headphones!

There is this program called Handbrake where you can load your DVDs onto your iTunes then put them onto your iPod that way. I would not reccommend this program though, it takes a really long time to load them and sometimes it cuts off like half of the episode. It also takes up a ton of room.

If you use a Mac, there's a widget you can get called "MyTube" which you can download from apple.com for free. With this, you can load videos from YouTube into your iTunes then to your iPod. So, not actual episodes, but you can put fan videos on there....

Hope this helps 🙂

Feel free to ask me if you need anymore help with this.

Thanks for that! And I almost didn't "recognize" you with the new avi!
Belive it or its Illigale to put any CD'S or DVD'S on your PC for your own use.
Its Illgale to burn them. I learnt it in IT the other day. CD'S AND DVD'S can only
be watched you cant make copies e.g putting them on ipod ect.
I find that stupid, but its true under UK and i think USA law.
Haha nice bit on facts xx

Boooo! =[
handbrake works great for me. buit i also havea brand new computer built from the ground up and so it takes a max of 10 minutes for me to make it ipod format, and ive never had an issue with it cutting off.

Even a current generation iPod with video has a good screen size...that would be just fine to watch a show on. The detail is actually quite awesome.

There are programs you can use to put video from your DVD to iPod, and since you paid more than a hundred bucks for the episodes, I don't think you should feel bad for doing it. I sure as hell don't.

Thankfully now studios are making offers where if you buy the DVD you get a free iTunes download. They did that with Supernatural season three. 🙂

I LOVE watching videos more than listening to music on my iPod actually, that's the main reason I got a Touch and not just a Shuffle or something..

But I have noticed that a lot of DVDS now are coming out with the option to buy a more expensive one that comes with a digital copy for little media players specifically.. I now have Forgetting Sarah Marshall on my pod 🙂 ((Is that not like the best movie ever?))

Karma for FSM, which is now my favorite movie. :)

I don't really feel it's especially strange that I like to watch movies and TV shows on a decent-sized screen. Obviously it'll differ depending on the person but I could never do that. And needing to have episodes of your favorite show with you everywhere you go is obsessive and crazy, not a sign of fandom. 😀
