The current Twilight Series parody movie, "Vampires Suck," has just gotten me to thinking. Other than a few skits on "Saturday Night Live" and fleeting mention of Buffy in other movies and TV shows, there's never been a parody movie poking fun at Buffy and her friends. So, this question: If there WERE such a movie, relatively written, directed, and acted, would you pay to see it, wait for it to come out on cable or the internet, or skip it altogether?

I would totally go to see it. And if I like it, I would buy a DVD. I don't have a problem if they make fun of BtVS. I'm more like eager to see what they would do in the film. Or which parts of the show they take to make fun of. The only reason I might hate it is, if they make fun of BtVS like they haven't seen the show.

I would do anything to go watch it, rent it, buy it ect! I could see all the various ships getting pissed over it though because i'm sure they'd make fun of a bunch 😀

Imagine how they would make fun of 'wooden stake'. And the characters would say things like "Spike, why are you always shirtless?". And to Angel, "Would it hurt if you just smile!!??". :lmao:

Lust think what they could do with the term "Mr Pointy."

LOL! Buffy would keep getting called Bunny and Anya would be hysteric every time that happens. Spike would be a really lame portrayal of the actual character(think bad guy with really bad punk hair). Angel some small guy with a face of an 'angel' trying his best to brood every 10 seconds in a scene. They could bring a bunch of parodied big bads from the show, like a vampire who always drink fruit punch, and that'd explain why he has an actual 'fruit punch' mouth, lmao!

Help me find more peeps!

LMAO at Bunny. :D
I probably wouldn't go to the cinema to watch it but my interest would lead to me viewing it once it was released or if i could see clips online i'd do that.

I would see it, but I would probably be pissed if they were making fun of some of the more emotional scenes, such as people dying horrible deaths.

I don't think the premise could support a full-length movie. If there was one, it would probably be like that awful "Meet the Spartans"/"Epic Movie" type garbage.

A 5-10 minute SNL-type sketch would be the best thing.

I'd see it. I love Buffy, but I bet there could be lots of fun ways to make fun of it, considering that the the characters were often made fun of by others characters or themselves.

I'd watch it. There's a lot to make fun of in BtVS and I won't mind. 🙂 Anya and Oz' hair color changing during the same scene would be funny. 😀

I really love your banner.

One of the earliest parody movies, "Kentucky Fried Movie," I believe, had several different sections, each focusing on a separate subject. There could be one made that consisted of a parody of all of the various TV vampire shows, or just all of Joss' various shows.

There is one coming up shortly, called "Vampires Suck." Unfortunately, it's by Friedberg & Seltzer... the geniuses behind "Scary Movie", "Date Movie", "Epic Movie", and "Meet the Spartans." They are literally the worst filmmakers in the history of the medium, without exception. The very worst. I would support making a formal exception to the First Amendment to prohibit them from ever making another movie ever again.

The Twilight movies, the movies that they're "parodying" now are much funnier than their steaming crap. Sorry. Sorry.
As long as it wasn't in the Seltzer/Friedberg style and was in the hands of competent individuals I'd be for it.

Haha, can you imagine trying to parody Spike's love for Buffy? "BUFFY, I LOVE YOU!" Oh, wait, he does that. "Buffy, I designed a robot that looks JUST LIKE YOU!" Oh, wait, he does that. "I'm going to burst out into random song about how much I LOVE YOU!" Oh, wait, he does that.

lol! BtVS would not be easy to parody because of things like that...

There's never been a Buffy parody because the show is actually good. Twilight isn't. It's hard to make fun of something so well-done.

Come to think of it, I do know of an, er, adult film called Buffy the Vampire Layer. I guess that sort of counts as a parody, doesn't it?

In answer to your question; if it did exist, sure, I'd see it. I do have a sense of humor, even about a show I hold so close to my heart. 😉

There was an excellant parody of "Enter The Dragon" contained in "Kentucky Fried Movie." So a good parody CAN be done of a great subject.

No. that's an abomination. There HAVE BEEN some good adult parodies, but nothing that I would mention here. (But one was based on "Romeo And Juliet," and the other was based on "Flash Gordon.")

I imdbed it and it the actress who plays Buffy is uncredited. I don't know what that's supposed to mean, though.

And Charlie Weber(Ben is Glory!) is gonna play James. 😀
