I really liked getting to the root of Buffy's problems, ie superiority complex and committment issues thanks to Mom and Dad. I also liked how it was done...even was sorry to see that helpful vamp get staked, especially before he made Buffy realize that she is deeply, madly, and passionately in love with.....

I totally agree!!! She did realize at least that Spike does love her. And as freaked out as she got over the whole sire thing I think she will admit her love to him before the season is done. I really hope that Spike and Buff get to be happy for a little while but I doubt that's in the cards. ::crying::

Oh well that's television!

happy yes but with other people not with each other i don't think that is actually possible there is too much bad history there.

It's a rule that goes through out all the show, Joss will never end them up happy, they'll always break up at the end!
 
Of course, we all know that it wasn' t Spike that sired the vampire last night, right? And we all know about Andrew too? right? RIGHT?
 
My guess is that the Big Bad is taking the form of vampire Spike to confuse Buffy...but regarding Andrew, again I ask what should we know?

He's geeky, intelligent, and gay...anything else?
 
i have mixed feelings about this phychoanalysis...i liked the fact that we got a lot of info out about her, but it was just kinda retarded that she was talkin to the guy for what an hour before she staked him? It just kinda pissed me off after the first half of the show...its like stake him already!
 
i cant see buffy saying that she is in love with spike, i mean she was using him cuz she felt bad about herself and i mean come on he tried to rape her, i mean if someone who supposedly loved you tried to rape you would you confess your love

I can see your point, but that's what made it so hilarious to me. Buffy always verbally spars with the vamps, so I kind of took it as going to the next level and having a meaningful conversation with one. Really really funny, in my opinion.
 
Funny indeed, but realistic ... would you talk to a stranger like that ... I wouldn't, I won't talk like that to friends, what would make me trust a stranger!
 
Sometimes its easier to talk to strangers, ie the Buffy Boards (none of my close friends understand my obsession) 🙂

However, to reply to Linkinwitch...remember that when Angel lost his soul he also tried to attack/rape/kill Buffy and all of her friends and family. She forgave him because she loved him and thats sometimes what you have to do...sometimes. Spike now has his soul, so should be given the same chance as Angel to make ammends...unless he truly is reverting to his bad self, than its game on.
