I wondered if anyone else knew of other tv shows that made references to Buffy or even Angel?

I know of three:

South of Nowhere: Ashley - "Let's just go before the hellmouth opens"
Charmed: Phoebe - "Where's Buffy when you need her?"
Charmed: Leo talked about how vampires were ostracized from the underworld long ago and were part of "a different network now", which was a subtle joke about how Buffy moved to UPN.

Gilmore Girls: I actually don't remember the quote but it was about Spike and Dru.

Anyone have any others?

the Gilmore Girls quote was:
It's 11 o'clock at night! Who are you planning on hooking up with? Spike and Drusilla? by i think, Rory. I don't remember the episode.

Supernatural:
HARRY: I know, but, Ed, I've never actually seen a real ghost before, like a real ghost, it's like an apparition!
ED: This stuff right here"”this is our ticket to the big time. Fame, money, sex. With girls, okay? Be brave. Okay, WWBD. What would Buffy do? Huh?
HARRY: What would Buffy do? I don't know, but, Ed, she's stronger than me.

Bring It On: Can we just beat these Buffies down? I got curfew.

im sure if given time i can think of others...

A couple of seasons ago, the detective on "Crossing Jordan" mentioned that he loved that show (Buffy, obviously).

One of the cheerleaders in "Man Of The House" told Tommy Lee Jones that she was "about to go all Buffy" on a guy who tried to pick her up in a pool hall (movies count too, right?)

I was watching Attack of the Show and one of the hosts of it mentioned Buffy.

I googled "Buffy references on tv shows" and I got a link to this site;

There are some other ones on Wikipedia. Just type in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and then go down to "cultural references" (I think that's what the section's called).

I'll look some more up later! 🙂

I cannot believe how many shows have referenced Buffy. It's really crazy, and of course awesome.

aww man... how could i have forgotten:

Friends: buffay the vampire layer

HAHAHA! that always makes me laugh...

HAHAHAAH i loved that friends reference. buffy was mentioned in will & grace in the ep 'love plus one' where Jack says [to a guy who works in tv] "TV? I love tv. "Buffy" is my life. So into Willow being a les, did you have anything to do with that?"

and another reference in an ep i can't remember the name.. but grace get's confused reading a sarah michelle gellar interview and will refers to Buffy

Haaaaa! They talk about Buffy all the time on Will & Grace!
Will & Grace mentioned Buffy a couple of times cause Jack's favorite show was Buffy.
One quote is Jack: I'm so into Willow being a lez...

I am this older person on/at this forum and I read books!!
In the book Stolen written by Kelley Armstrong they mention something about Buffy the Vampire slayer series,if you like werewolfs vampires and people with special powers this is a nice book.

I :hearton: Kelley Armstrong! Also in the last book of the "Keeper" trilogy by Tanya Huff, one of the characters mentions bringing the others up to date on what's been going on on Buffy.

wasn't there something in 'Lost' where Sawyer tells Kate "You taste like strawberries." which was supposed to be a reference to Rack telling Willow that she tasted like strawberries...i think both eps were written by the same guy or something. i know i read that here, i think it was N4H who mentioned it.

I believe there's a porn movie called Buffy the Vampire Layer. 🙂

HAHA sounds interesting.. complete with vibrating stakes no doubt?
In the movie "Johnson Family Vacation," you can see in one of the scenes when the family is staying at a hotel that some of the family members are watching Buffy's finale, "Chosen."
