Buffy references outside the Jossverse

The cleveland show (probably one of the most recent references i've seen).

Tim (the bear) is praying to god 'and please bring back Buffy the vampire slayer, we need her now more than ever'

lol

I'm sure i've seen/heard other references but that's the only one that springs to mind right now.

In the ep "The Play's the Thing" on Xena Warrior Princess s4, a character mentions a play opening called "Buffus the Bacchae Slayer."
Bacchae were the pointy-toothed, neck-biting crowd in the Xenaverse.
Been watching Charmed and noted that others had caught that reference in "The Power of Two."
What wonderful days they were, when all three of these great shows, Xena,Buffy, and Charmed were airing concurrently(1998-2001)!
Thankfully, they are all on DVD so we can watch them as often as we like.

ahahahaha! "Buffus"!!! I used to consider Xena kinda lame, but truly I love watching it!!!
Last nights episode of Supernatural had Dean saying: "Awesome. Another horseman. Must be Thursday." Which of course reminded me of "Dawn's in trouble. Must be tuesday." from OMWF. Both quotes based on the day the show airs/aired. Not sure if it happened before OMWF in another show but at least there's a connection.
 
Nerf Herder (the band that does the Buffy theme song) has a song 'For You' which says:
"And I'd bid too high on The Price Is Right
And I'd sweat to the oldies all night
I'd be depressed like Morrissey
And slayed by Buffy every week
I would do anything for you"

in season two of true blood when jason is first getting in with the fellowship of the sun (or whatever theyre called) he's referred to as "coming on like some kind of boy-buffy".

does anyone know anything about an australian show thats produced its own season 8 of buffy the vampire slayer.

i think its called "event horizon".

i found some of the actors listed on the btvs imdb page and now theyre not there.

does this really exist? is it good?

is it available anywhere in the us?

also in the comic book "young justice" "wendy the werewolf slayer" was a popular tv series that all the kids enjoyed watching.

and in a cross referancing frenzy

"shes our sabrina" payed homage to another young blond teenager with abilities far and above the ken of mortal men.
 
I was just reading a web comic the other day and when the main character gets her superpowers, or whatever, she asks, "Aren't you supposed to be my Giles?" and the old man goes ???.
 
Did just listen to a commentary track for an episode of Alias.

Not sure who it was or the exact phrasing but it was something about Alias being the only show where people could come back even though you was certain that they had been killed off.

Jennifer Garner then says - Well, we always got Buffy.

That made me laugh out loud. 🙂
