Yearning for a normal life, Buffy agrees to a date with the mysterious and brooding Owen. Giles discovers a prophecy of coming danger which would interfere with her plans, but she chooses Owen over battling the forces of darkness. When Giles goes out on his own and is trapped by a group of vampires, Buffy must figure out a way to balance dating and Slaying.

Love the tone right from the start of this episode that runs throughout. Definitely something I miss about the later seasons.

I like the theme of Owen's appearance in this episode. He works well with the different characters.

Xander is very funny when Owen appears at Buffy's door, advising him on the do's and don'ts of the evening.

Its sweet when Buffy and Owen are enjoying their time together at the Bronze. Good for her.

Overall, I really enjoyed this tastefully executed episode. The dialogue was engaging throughout (unlike the later seasons) and the arc of the episode was well portrayed.

A solid 7.9/10 for me. 😎

Solid ep, one of the better monster of the week eps. Nice plot twist at the end, I remember it catching me off guard the first time I saw it. Just too bad that was the best scene of the Anointed One and will go down hill from there.
