Buffy Season 7 Finale Party - Anyone? Anyone?

Anyone out there thinking of planning a BtVS "Wrap Party" in your town?

May 20 is the airing of the season's last show, so I was thinking that it may be cool to have all the BtVS fans in my town descend on a sports bar or other large TV establishment, enjoy the show together, and share some fan camraderie before/afterwards.

We could even make it a costume party, having folks come as their favorite Buffy characters. All BuffyBytes members would have nametags with their BBoard handles so we could recognize each other.

To BuffyBytes Staff: Any plans for such events? If so, what towns and how can we sign up?

To BuffyBytes Members: Do you have any similar plans or think this is a good idea?
 
I first have to d/load the episode, and though I do know a lot of people, who are fans themselves, I don't think so!

The finale comes the night before my finals start :S
 
That'll be two days after graduation for me, and my gym class will be leaving for it's camping trip that day most likely, so it's doubtful that I will get to watch it that night. Most likely tape it so I can watch it as soon as I get back. Well, after I shower of course.

our party is already planned and we dont eevn know when the finale will air here lol
like we know whos bringing/wearing what and stuff we jsut need the date, itll be at my house and stuff
lol so anyone in perth WA who wants to party it up come finale night and itll be just dandy
we might even follow it up with a hootenanny

then the next week
theyre will be a wake
for the lack of episodes *nods*

To any over-21 BBytes members in the Atlanta area. Let me know if you want to put something together, and if you know of a good place. I'll contact the mgt and see what we can do.

Why should Halloween only come once a year?
 
Not trying a blatant bump here...

But I noticed AintItCoolNews.com is planning a "Buh-Bye Buffy Bash" in LA to coincide with the series finale on May 20.

It only seems right that BuffyBytes gets their own party.

My Proposal....
- I'll post a spearate Party Announcement/RSVP thread.

- Someone start things off by offering to organize an event in your own town; solicit BBytes members for RSVP's (via PM or email)

- I advise holding your event from 7-10PM on the night of the finale OR as a Buffy Wake on the Saturday immediately afterwards (bring your tapes!!)

- Try to choose a place that allows under-21 folks (a big part of our fanbase), and make sure you have the permission/cooperation of the place you choose.

- Make it a costume event (come as your favorite Buffy/Angel character).

- Notify your local UPN station. I'll lay money that you get a camera crew to show up.

- Take pictures, and post your best ones here.

- Hilarity ensues.

Anyone else out there up to take this on?
 
I would love to do a Buffy part/wake.......but I am the only BTVS that I know in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Good luck with your party....Atlanta is only 5 hours from here🙂 I could always go to your party!
