The rumors linking Joss Whedon to X-Men 3 are simply rumors… for now. Whedon expressed interest in the project several times during the convention, but also mentioned that he doesn’t know if there is any truth to the reports that he’s a contender to direct or write the next X-Men film.

In other Whedon-related rumors, there’s some potential good news for Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans. Whedon is said to be in discussions with Dark Horse regarding an “eighth season” of Buffy, to be chronicled as a monthly comic.

I really wish that it would happen.I am not a comic book nerd, aka comic book lover.But If the season 8 buffy comics are made, I may buy some.
 
oh thats cool, I hope that a Season8 of Buffy comics comes out since it would be very intresting to read.
 
There was already a season 8 story, in one of the tales of the vampires.It was about Dracula.Xander was capture and turned into a slave again.Buffy and some new scythe activated slayers came to save him.I don't have the comic.But I read what it was about in the internet.

but meh. buffy should have a break. im in no rush to reason "Buffy the person who lazes around enjoying life"

Do you know which book that one was in?
 
I'm not sure.It was one of the volumes in Tales Of The Slayer.I think it's vol.1 or 2.I forgot which it was in.
 
I'm not really a comic fan myself, but if they make a BtVS comic than I'm at the nearest comic store!
 
S8 comics would be so cool...No SMG issues to work around, no limited budgets...

I'm a huge comic fan, and believe me, Buffy owes a massive part of what it is to comics...Buffy from Spiderman... Angel is so Batman it hurts...Faith is the lovechild of Electra and Wolverine... If you do want to get into comics, I recommend starting with Fray, which is the second best comic I've ever read.
 
i've heard a lot about Fray but never read the comics. i'd love it to be turned into a tv- miniseries so I can watch it. plus it won't have any of the "getting all the old cast" together type stuff" problems. it'll start over completely fresh and new but will still link on with Buffyverse!

ooh i'd love this! comics have no ads! and no bad acting!! and a monthly whedonverse injection to my life you be good!

*sinks into depression again* except that i live in australia and the chances of us getting it any time within 2 years after it comes out.. slim to none 🙁
