Buffy Season 8 Issue 13

Have I somehow slipped into some sort of time warp? I just received Buffy #11 from TFAW last week on the same day that I bought Issue #12 at the local comic book store, then I look at Amazon and bought Issue #13 USED.

I know TFAW is always late, so #12 on the rack wasn't much of a surprise, but I was positive that #13 hadn't come out yet.
 
I think that it may be either a pre-sell or a lie. I can't see how this person would have 13 already. Unless they meant to put 12 and by accident put 13?

How come you don't get them all at the comic shop?

I would agree that it might be a pre-order, but this was listed as "Used," and is supposed to be currently available. Of course Amazon did summarize Issue # 12 as "Buffy and the gang go to Japan..." which only adds more to the confusion.

As to why I didn't buy them all at the comic shop, they have very limited hours, and when they are open, I'm usually at work. It was just by accident that I happened to be there during store hours this one time. That was my main reason for the subscription in the first place.

Anyhow, I'll let you know when I get the issue in question.

Yeah, that's what I ordered. I still don't get the "used" thing for s book that hasn't come out yet (You think maybe this guy gets the book, reads it once, maybe photoscans it, then sells it? That's weird.)

That still doesn't explain the e-mail notice that I got saying that it would be shipped in 4 days, unless it was a typo.

There's weirder. I once was looking at a pistol in a local gunshop, told them I'd have to think about it. Went back the next day, and it had been sold.

Guy behind the counter: "You want me to give you a call when it comes back in?"

Me: "Huh?"

Him: "Well, the fellow that bought it does this regularly - he'll buy one, keep it for a week or two, then bring it back and trade it on something else. I can give you a really good deal on it then, 'cause it's technically used. Don't know if he ever actually fires'em or not, though."

Sure enough, not two weeks later, it comes back to the store and I get it for 25% off the original price...

Either somebody goofed, or they have a time machine.
 
I feel all time machiney because of TFAW's lateness, too. I just got #12. I missed 9 & 10. Also, I'm confused on some of the plot points... but I'll save that for another thread.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think that SOMEBODE, either me or them, made a mistake. Still, Amazon has always been pretty dependable, even with they're second party sales.ty
Once more, I checked the record at Amazon, and there, big as life and almost as confusing is the statement, "Seiier agrees to ship merchandise by 13-March-2008. I checked the cover, and it's the one with Xander sitting on a rock/statue/something, with a robed figure, I assume Dracula, in the background. Even allowing for a week or more shipping, that's gonna put the book here before what I've heard was the publish date of 2-April-2008.

Hhmmm....I normally order from amazon and haven't had a problem (yet)with them...I don't know what to say, I don't think it's a pirated copy (if there even is such a thing for comic books) I guess if you alreday ordered it then wait and see what comes..Or you can contact the seller and ask them for more feedback on the product too, before you buy.
