I can't speak for every man in the world, but I personally have more than one pair of pants, and several belts. Given the state of disarray of the rest of the room, presence of Mr Gordo to the contrary, I just can't see that as being Buffy's bedroom, unless there was one helluva party there the night before.

There was a helluva party there the night before, as seen in the preview pages for Buffy #1. I seem to remember Scott Allie saying something about "feminist hero gets drunk with calamitous results."

And as far as Andrew coming out, I think the first page of the preview covers it when Buffy is all "You married. You're dead. And you're...." Andrew is still completely oblivious.

Yeah - I sure hope not the first thing I thought of was Judas - What I hope this turns out to be is Willow comforting Buffy - Buffy looks emotionally devastated in this image.

They can't have Spike play an important and good support guy in the series and have him as a sexual partner with a drunken Buffy -

I would hate to have Spike revert back to just being "Buffy's love interest" after all of the development he has had in Angel season 5 and in the AtF, which is considered canon.

Hopefully the don't forget his development over the course of the series the way they did Angel's in season 8. If Spike does get with Buffy, his character shouldn't regress.

Think about it: he had just barely regained his soul in season 7, spent part of the season crazy in the basement and the other part controlled by the trigger ("So, he has a trigger, a soul, and a chip?" "Not anymore!"). His sacrifice in Chosen was his first truly heroic act, he was just beginning at the end of season 7. Even though some think bringing Spike to AtS was just a business move, I am so glad they did. Not just for the excellent Spangel interactions, but also for Spike's individual development (which seemed to happen best in the interactions with Angel, which is so fascinating for me). And on in continued in the IDW comics.

I'm not a huge fan of Spike showing up in AtS season 5, and I thought he was unnecessary in most episodes in the first half of the season, but I absolutely loved his scenes with Angel where they talked about their pasts and the guilt they now feel. Hellbound was good for it, and Damage might be my favorite ever episode for Spike.

He has come a long way, as has Angel, partly because by getting away from Buffy they have been allowed to grow as characters and become able to stand on their own two feet.

Sadly, I think they will revert Angel and Spikes relationship to BtVS season two levels, which would be a shame.

So not excited about this. Harmony and Clem need to either die very painfully or be sent to a sitcom where they belong. Why would Angel want to help Harm anyway?!?

And Buffy b eing distant from her friends...being there, done that, hated it.

Ugh. Harmony and Clem? I hate them both. Angel still owes her a stake to the heart for NFA.

I wish they would just stay on Buffy's title.

I guess the stand-alone issues are really going to suck this year if this is any indication.
