I was reading SFX today and it has this page with TV and Film and one of them is that according to a recent study, watching hour of TV take 22 minuets off your life.

So for watching all of Buffy that takes 1 year and like 2 months off your life.

Be grateful if your not a Doctor Who fan, if you watch all of Doctor Who, you'll be croaking it almost 6 years earlier then if you hadn't watched it!

It's fine. It's a correlation, which is not causation. It is probably correlated because the more TV one watches, the more likely one is to lead a sedentary life style. Sedentary life style is a causal factor in shortening one's life.

What? This doesn't compute unless the length of all Bufly episodes is something like three years. 😀
 
lol doesn't make sense to me but ok 😛 ....maybe cause when your watching tv your not excercising and staying healthy but I still don't see it

How much time would have been 'slain' if I've watched Buffy AND Angel? Also, Doctor Who is a terrible show. I wouldn't be surprised if watching 10 minutes of an episode would kill out on the spot!

couldn't disagree more. it's kind of a british pop culture phenomenon. much as buffy is here, actually, but probably bigger.

I heard that eating while watching TV makes you gain more weight 'cause you don't pay attention to how much you eat while you watch TV, thus making you eat more than you really need than if you eat at the dinner table.

Completely off-topic, but whatever, just a fun fact. 😛

I don't know if I should take this seriously or not. Someone thinking Doctor Who is a terrible show is easy to understand. Ok maybe not if you love the show but taste is different, easy as that. Hope it's a teasing comment and nothing more. Because then I'd smile. A general serious statement not as fun. Which it is can be hard to tell when you're on the outside.

If we're going to be serious watching tv in itself isn't bad. How you spend your life in general is more important. Even though you can die any time for reasons not connected to your health.

We should all stop watch tv. Also spending time online, sitting in cars or other vehicles that don't require movement, only eat what's good for us and don't party too hard. To begin with. Then there's....

It's a fun fact that's all. Don't take it too seriously.

Don't worry, iv'e heard that fact before (only not Buffy related as a specific program). It's probably one of the things i take least seriously (The t.v/life stat) lol
