Buffy, Spike, And Angel

Whatever else Spike and Angel might ever have been to Buffy, they were both her friends and/or allies longer than they were ever her enemies. Do you think that there might ever have been such an alliance between any other Slayer and vampire or demon in the past? This is purely speculation, since, as far as I know, there has never been any mention one way or the other in any source that could be considered canon.

speculation wise - I don't think so. It seems pretty rare for a slayer and a vampire to have that kind of special bond. On the other hand, 2 vampires/demons fall for a slayer? That's like super rare. So on the third hand, maybe that's possible. However, Angel had a soul when falling for Buffy. So I'm not sure if that counts. I mean, yes, he's still a demon, even with a soul. But he wasn't evil when he fell for a slayer. Understand what I'm trying to say? Although I'm not sure that answers your question, maybe I'm just side tracking...........

I don't think it's too crazy to suggest it might have happened before. When Spike first made an alliance with Buffy he was completely soulless and not into her at all it was simply the only way he could see to survive. Vampires, like other predators, strive to survive and for that reason alone I could see it having happened before.

Temporary alliances were very possible but Spike and Angel became allied with Buffy under unusual circumstances.

As for other demons? Well considering not all demons are evil it makes sense that a resourceful Watcher or two may have used demons in the good fight, but in regards to vampire, for the most part avoided or attempted to kill Slayers.
