Buffy & Spike Books

I haven't read many of the Buffy books (about half a dozen, actually) and I was just wondering if someone could recommend any that take place during the time when Buffy and Spike are on friendly terms, rather than mortal enemies. They don't have to be about the ill fated and torrid affair, just that they are working together.

Hmm there's a few, but I can't think of them off the top of my head... I guess Monster Island is one of them, and thats a crossover with Angel as well- very good book actually.

Heat is another one, but thats a crossover with Angel too....

There are quite alot, but I'm at uni and my books are at home (bar a few, and only the 2 that aren't i've already mentioned), so I can't help with anymore I'm afraid...

Although, I want to say read 'Spike and Dru- Pretty Maids All In a Row'- Buffy isn't in it, but its an awesome book 😛

i think most of the BTVS novel writers are Bangels...i know Nancy Holder is. so most of the books tend to be anti-Spuffy.

what about 'Blood and Fog' or 'Chaos Bleeds'? i know their set in Seasons 5 or 6, but i can't remember what they're about.

Ooh I completely forgot about Chaos Bleeds... considering I have 'the First' trilogy I should have remembered.... yeah Chaos Bleeds is definitely Spike and Buffy and the Scoobies working together!!

And Blood and Fog (which I have as well... idiot me) is partially Spike and Buffy and partially Spike in 1888 (Jack the Ripper style)

Both brilliant books I might add!! I love Chaos Bleeds (and the playstation game is wicked too)

saw your thread topic and was going to say two things:

1. most of the books are very pro-Bangel and buy completely into the whole ill-fated never love anyone but him kind of deal and
2. That Pretty Maids In a Row is well worth reading

but both these points have already been made🙂
I've never read a Buffy novel that captured the Buffy/Spike friendship well. Queen of the Slayers (awful book that it is) does imply that maybe Spike does have a shot with the slayer even though he's only in the book in a vision/dream kind of thing.
