Buffy & Spike vs Faith & Angel

Returning to the original question, Buffy and Spike vs Angel and Faith. Who wins? Team Buffy or Team Angel? I seem to recall that we pretty much agreed on the outcome, if not the details.

We did! 🙂

Though only about Buffy, I dont think a unsouled Spike would win against an unsouled Angel or Faith.
Part o your reason for Spike and Buffy winning was they "knew each others moves", but in this scenario there are no loyalties so that connection is there

A lesser man would remind you of what Spike told Anya about dogs and bones, and what Jonathan said about magic bones.Luckily, I'm above allthat.
By his own admission, Angel voluntarily joined forces with Twilight, using the old familiar, "It was for the greater good," excuse. At least some of the things that he did were not done under Twilight's direct thrall. Angel did them, voluntarily, for whatever excuse he chose to give, primarily for the chance to play Adam to Buffy's Eve in a whole new universe.

You're leaving out quite a bit here.

Out of curiosity, on what grounds do you base your claim of "primarily for the chance to play Adam to Buffy's Eve"? Seriously, when have we EVER seen Angel under that motivation? I know you're not an Angel guy, that's fine, but it seems like you're taking a pretty unfounded dig at the character when you just look at the history of the show. Angel has shown, many times, that he's willing to sacrifice his personal happiness, even with Buffy, for what he perceives to be the right thing to do. How else to you explain IWRY, or him leaving at the end of S3? What you're suggesting just isn't consistent with the character.

He's also shown, many times, that he won't hesitate to sacrifice other people's happiness as well, and without the common courtesy of even informing them what he is planning to do, let alone let them have any say in the matter.

But, as I said before, we've had this same discussion so many times that there are people here getting whiplash just from rolling their eyes so far back. And as strange as it may sound, I'm really tired of the debate right now.

So...

Team Buffy, or Team Angel. Which one wins?

Normally I wouldn't do this, but you can't continue the argument to try and get the last word, and then just say the argument is over. I've answered before I think Team Buffy would squeak out the win.

Whether or not Angel will also sacrifice other people's happiness has no pertinence to your earlier claim of him acting in the Twilight arc to "play Adam to Buffy's Eve". You stated that that was Angel's driving motivation, when there is clear precedent that he'll keep himself away from Buffy, even when she's literally begging him to stay, if he feels it's the right thing to do.

Hmn, interesting-Well, Buffy hasn't actually fought Angel (she's fought Angelus and beat him, twice. And I think Angel's a way better fighter than Angelus- dream fight be damned.), a soul makes a difference in a fight (look to Spike for that).

A lot of people have rated Faith as the weakest fighter- which surprises me- sh'e at least Spike's equal and has had the upper hand on Buffy a couple of times (people forget that she outsmarted and won against Buffy in 'This Year's Girl' and they were evenly matched in 'Who Are You')- despite having been in a coma. Still, in a fight between them I'd still call in Buffy's favour (depending on what they were fighting for, of course. If Faith was fighting to say, save Angel for some reason then she might actually win).
Angel and Spike- it's a coin toss, Spike's more of a brawler most of the time but that passion can work for him. But I think Angel's the smarter fighter.
Angel vs. Faith? We all saw 'Five By Five', she owned him, big-time (I know he was refusing to kill her, but by the same token she didn't want to kill him- quite the opposite.)

So, after all that I really don't know.

Maybe🙁?) Buffy
Angel/Faith
Spike
And I might be being generous to Buffy here- it seems to me her emotional state matters a lot in her fights and everyone has there off days, I guess it matters what they're fighting for.
Y'know what I 'd actually really just like to see them fighting back-to-back, I bet they'd be pretty darn unstoppable 🙂
