Buffy star's theatre intruder - Alyson Hannigan

The London theatre where 'Buffy' actress Alyson Hannigan is starring says she was never in danger, even though a fan got backstage without permission.

She plays Willow in the show, but is currently working in a stage version of 'When Harry Met Sally'.

The Theatre Royal Haymarket says a man slipped past security but they marched him out before he got anywhere near her dressing room.

Earlier reports had said the fan had entered Alyson's dressing room and tried to get her autograph.

Alyson Hannigan's Stage Fright

BOSSES at the Haymarket Theatre need to beef up their security.

An intruder managed to get backstage after a performance of When Harry Met Sally and tried to get into Alyson Hannigan's dressing room.

The "fan" managed to bypass security and get close to the Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress's room on Saturday night.

Although Alyson, who stars alongside Luke Perry in the play, wasn't in there at the time, sources say there was concern about how easily he managed to get so close to her private room.

An insider tells us: "This guy in his mid-20s was hanging around the stage door after the performance. He tried to sneak into Alyson's room but was stopped by security. There was a lot of shouting and swearing and neither Alyson or Luke were allowed to leave until he had been ushered out of the way."

Yesterday, a spokesman tried to play down what happened, saying: "Somehow an audience member found himself backstage after going through the wrong exit door.

"He took a wrong turn and found himself at her dressing room and thought he'd go in and try and grab her autograph.

"It was dealt with quickly and he was asked to leave."

You're welcome A😀

That's weird. I guess you can never be to careful though. There are people out there that could pull some stunt and get someone hurt. It could be nothing, but it could have been something. Alteast it was taken care of quickly.

That's scary. O well the price of being famous. I'm glad it was quickly taken care of, but some of these things could be honest mistakes. Getting lost backstage, not likely an honest mistake though.

I am glad they dealt with it. I would love to get hold of her autograph but I would not go charging backstage for it, I am going to see this performance soon I hope and I will just be happy seeing her.
