Jeff Pruitt was the stunt co-ordinator for many episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and between the breaking glass and stakings, kept a camera running.

We should be grateful that he's now posted this footage to Youtube (via Whedonesque) as Buffy's DVD supplements are, relatively speaking, pretty thin.

Obviously, many of these moves are designed to look good from other angles. Here you'll see just how far some blows are from connecting, and the soundtrack isn't as nearly as "plank on watermelon" as we're used to.

Doubling for Buffy, at least some of the time, is Sophia Crawford who we'll next see, whether we realise it or not, in the next GI Joe movie.

It's amazing how much Crawford looks like Sarah when she's whizzing about, even when she turns and her face is in camera she looks like her.

These are pretty cool.
 
AWESOME! My internet connection sucks ass at the moment, but I am definitely going to be giving these a watch once my new cable internet is installed!
 
I was watching those last night. It's pretty cool to see how things really go down. Of course, now when I watch the show I've been paying more attention to which shots are the stunt double. 😛
 
Excellent footage in those videos. I recall in one of the explanatory videos in the DVD set that there was a girl named Michelle that also did stunts for Buffy.
 
I discoverd these recently as well. Yesterday or something when I was watching gag reels and "funniest moments" and stuff. Really awesome videos. Thanks for listing them here. I have only seen two so far.
 
I just watched all of them in a row. I especially love the fights between Buffy and Faith. They kick ass!
It's so awesome that Jeff Pruitt put up all those videos.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting, BEG!! I especially love the first one: This Year's Girl and Harsh Light of Day have some of my favorite fight scenes. Plus, Briley!! 😀 It's neat to see how the fights come together.

And Buffy's stunt double looks so much like her!
 
The only problem with these videos is that now I always seem to notice the stunt double when I'm watching Buffy. I was watching a season 3 episode recently (can't remember which one) where they showed the stunt doubles face for at least 5 seconds. I was like, "That's definitely not Sarah!" But also, TV's are bigger and more HD now, so I think that's another reason I am more capable of seeing certain things. The old school TV's that I had when Buffy aired were a lesser quality picture.
 
I've only glanced through these but from what I've seen so far is really amazing. I always wanted to see more of the behind the scenes stunt work on Buffy so its a pleasure to be able to watch these and see how the stunts were performed from another angle.
 
I FINALLY got around to watching these... AWESOME! I thought it was so weird to watch these without the background music and sound effects though!
