We've all heard of the short lived and ill timed Buffy the Animated Series but what if it was turned into 120 minute film instead of a series? Nicholas Brendon* and Jeph Loeb** have an interest in coming back to the cartoon series (though this was said three years ago) so why not to a potential movie? Where would you like in the story and in which season? Would you prefer a stand alone movie not anchored to a particular season involving the whole cast? Or perhaps some sort of Buffy/Angel cross over flick with a big bad running rampant all over California?

On August 20, 2008, Nicholas Brendon said on his audiolog:
I know that there's been talk about the Buffy Animated Series. Which we did, gosh, like, three years ago. You know, to be quite honest with you, I don't know why it didn't go further, but I know that there's been a lot of hububaloo on the old YouTube there, and I checked it out and I almost got a little teary. You know, I hadn't seen Xander in a while, and it was kind of neat to kind of go back into that library and that into life, and all that stuff. But, yeah. So, listen, I'll go on the record by saying I would love to do an animated series for Buffy. That being said, I might be the only one. But, I'm not sure. I haven't had a chance to talk to anybody about it. So, you know, keep your fingers crossed.[9]

On August 26, 2008, Jeph Loeb declared in an interview to MTV:
Everything still exists "” the designs, the scripts. It's such a 'no-duh' project, so why the hell not? All you need is to draw it. Eight years ago, there was no fascination with Family Guy or Robot Chicken, but there's an audience now that could drive to it. You can't stand in the way of pop culture.[10]

I don't think it would have to be based around any particular season as it could have events from each one taking place (without it getting to confuseing lol)

Plus if it went to a movie it would have to be a two part one in my opinion, i don't think a Buffy movie (which is based on events from the series) could be done in one movie.

(As you said) To keep it more "fresh" maybe it could be a movie that's a crossover between BtVS and AtS where they come up against a new enemy etc etc.

I totally have this story constructed in my head, starting with an ANGEL movie that connects to a part 2-like BUFFY movie. It all basically revolves around that big apocalypse that Angel's supposed play a part in.

I would love to see either an animated series or movie. I was disappointed that the series didn't pan out, and loved the animation style from the glimpses we got to see.
I just hope the original actors play the roles if this ever happens, especially if we get a movie. I think most of the actors from the web comic did a great job, but it's still so weird to hear other people as these characters.
