Buffy: The Making of a Legend

Known for being the target of the school boys crude attentions, Buffy initially accepted it. But it was an old man who caused her to think more of herself though he did have ulterior motives. He wanted her to accept that she was the latest in a long line of girls chosen to protect the world from the vampires.

That she had been born a Chosen One, chosen to be The Vampire Slayer and what did she get in return, Pike. Pike was a weird one, he drove an old van that needed constant repairs, yet somehow he got himself a Triumph motorcycle a leather jacket and a creepy haircut.

And for all her troubles Buffy was kicked out of the school. Her mother decided to find herself a new town to live in, yet she got away with blaming her daughter on having to find another place to live as if that school was the only school in the city.

So her mother took her to a new house in a new town, Buffy had to find herself some new friends and what a great choice she had. Some guy said he might bump into her at the school, even though they both attended the school. As it turned out he was a friend with the girl Buffy could be a friend with, Willow.

Oh yeah, Sunnydale had its own version of the creepy old guy, at least this one wasn’t as old as the hills though his attitude was similar, he wanted to give Buffy a huge old book. One she’d have problems lifting, finding a secret place to put it at her new home would be nigh on impossible, Buffy turned down the Vampyr book.

Luckily enough for Buffy as where she was going to hide it some zombie cat sprang from a few years later. The old guy (Rupert Giles) who gave that book to Buffy wasn’t aware initially that some guy named Jonathon would write a sequel to it years later, called The Tales of the Vampyr.

Life for Buffy began again in Sunnydale as the place to go to for vampires, werewolves, zombies and countless other forms of demons and countless other variations of those demons all were led by some Master vampire who had more wrinkly’s on his face than on his butt (best not to tell him that) though he did have a soul.

The demons got together to put Buffy in the spotlight, one kept his secret a secret so he could become a friend to Buffy though an old friend of his who was more than hundred years old who had always dressed impeccably. She had always been so beautifully attired yet when she moved to Sunnydale she began to dress like slob, as a catholic schoolgirl.

Faced with the realization that the young man she had grown to love was in facts a vampire: Buffy’s world froze then turned upside down. The night her mother was attacked, Buffy thought it was Angel who attacked who had attacked her, Buffy sought to kill him. Then she was told an ex of Angel attacked her mother. Buffy saw Angel kill Darla, his ex.

Even in time Buffy saw Angel as a friend, together they accepted one who should be an arch enemy become the greatest of friends. Their friendship grew and together they planned to kill whatever nemesis stood in their way, be that nemesis a lowly demon or a God.

Giles came to be seen by her and her friends as one who could be trusted, he was even after an attack was launched on Angel. The curse that the gypsy’s laid on him was activated though it backfired to be a curse against humanity only the interference of the beginnings of a powerful witch stop the curse and help mankind,

Buffy found a helper to her cause from an unexpected source yet the troll from her school led evil to end the slayers reign the unexpected gave the help he promised and Giles was rescued. Mankind would be saved once the threat was removed.

Willow kept her promise to help Buffy, with Spikes help Angelus was stopped though Willow gave Buffy her greatest fear, removing the threat that was Buffy’s wonder of love: Buffy had to send Angel to hell. To keep to her mother’s threat Buffy left town and knowingly forgot the world of Buffy accepting the new life of Anne to front her dreams of peace.

Nice so far . Like what you doing with it 🙂

Buffy: The Making of a Legend - 2

The apparent loss of her mother’s friendship caused her more heart ache than she cared to admit, not being able to face her friends gave her grief though she knew she would get over that. She needed time to get to grips with her home life. Seeing no answer she left to try and find an answer.

Stuck in a small apartment it made her smile when she was deciding a new name for herself, it made her seem more intelligent than she was Summers B.a., Buffy had wondered what it would be like having a Batchelor of Arts. It was quite easy though, Anne seemed quite suitable.

Thinking the work she found herself would give her time to forget Sunnydale she saw a girl she had known as Chanterelle though her new name was Lily, trying to avoid her she was spotted as Lily wandered the streets trying to find her latest keeper.

She led Lily to try and find the lad but Lily was captured by a demon. Both of them were thrown into the netherworld. Though Buffy had wanted to be free of helping people she found the knowledge that she had been given to all the people on earth and after leading some strangers to safety Buffy took herself home.

Finding her friends had been tortured by her escape then finding she was unable to explain the problems she had found herself facing many arguments grew though they were forgotten when the dead broke into her home and attacked the people gathered there and also included were her friends.

Buffy continued to learn her role was to protect all, even the who said they didn’t like her; if they were being threatened by a creature that had escaped when the mouth was open then she was to stop the creature regardless of who was under threat be that even a harmless demon.

What Buffy didn’t know was that a few human’s thought themselves better than others, they thought they had the right to offer protection even if it meant they were to threaten the life of the slayer by placing her in a direct line of attack by a vampire. Yet the Slayer continued to care for them.

Then came the time when Buffy found her allegiance under test as was that of her replacement who had killed a human. Her replacement didn’t care as she thought she was owed a get out of jail free card. Was it right for a slayer to stake a human who supported the Hellmouth’s evil?

Had that slayer been regretful of killing a human would she have been allowed to continue as that human worked for the evil, had the Watchers Council have caused that Slayer to turn bad, was Buffy in the right to side with the Council as they had done what Faith had done, yet worse they had threatened the life of a Slayer.

Yet through it all Buffy kept her respect of Faith, only saying she had killed a human all the time Buffy kept quiet about the normal failings of mankind. What she was destined to do was give her help to those who needed her help, regardless of whether they knew that her help was asked nor if they for it.

Many was the time that a demon or vampire broke through the Slayers line of defence to attempt to place the final threat, yet one successfully placed that threat on her the threat was allowed to be close to ending the life of Buffy, yet a vampire broke the rules and saved the life of the Slayer. What did she learn of during the attack on her mind? That mind numbingly terrifying exposé that the one woman she looked up to, her mom, she had sex on the bonnet a police car, twice.

Buffy found herself to be better than she thought, yet she valued her calling in life. One she had heard and accepted. Even though her family and friends wanted her to better herself she had her doubts, from a place unknown she found an answer in a local institution. One that was accepted by those she cared for.

All that was left was the dance, a right of passage for all in schools, an accepted method for the parents of the schoolboy or schoolgirl to know the child could be viewed as an adult though Buffy knew it meant more as it told her that she was ready for the future.

Buffy: The Making of a Legend - 3

After all the adventures that had befallen her while she lived at the house that became a home she saw her move to the school for slightly older children where even the demons that had found an exit from hell often found their way into the governments cells.

Buffy sought time to support her friendship with Willow though she knew to allow their friendship to grow apart, unknowingly it was too much even when they were apart in time or distance they were fundamentally close as even the oddest claims though unbelieved were not enough to separate them.

As she had often found excitement in the past those of the life impaired banded together to torment her she would often torment them with sharpened rods of wood. Seeking new directions for her life Buffy found herself trying to find solace with the demons she knew. Even after Willow had met the demon first, Spikes that’s never happened to me before moment.

Though this helped their friendship in a round-about manner it became obvious to them that those not of demonic pleasures were needed though Buffy found her new delight in much hearty grog, and if Giles should try to keep her from it – woe betide him.

The search for the understanding and the comprehension of all took her to hear the voices of all those who were wrong or right. Be they of natives of the land or when a vampire whispered in her ear that led her to wish for wind beneath my wings to be played at her wedding.

It was after then that Buffy began to seek knowledge of what was originally laid bare. Buffy learnt that the spoken word needed sound. Buffy told her friends of many words most of them had unspoken and kind words that would cause her to heal her connection to them.

Once again it was the evil that taught Buffy who her friends were that her friendship would cause her to accept her friends that led to be sat in a three pronged circle where Willow’s chant would enable the ancestral guide of the slayer to end the threat of Adam. They destroyed through Buffy the threat he had laid at mankind’s feet.

It was in their dream that each of them tried to gain respite though each of them gained a part of time in Buffy’s dream, her world and her fears. She found herself speaking to Tara who was speaking for the first of Buffy. Though try as she might Buffy needed help to understand what was about to take her forwards.

Then it was the owner of the cheese squares who unknowingly offered Buffy a path. It was the realization of them that gave her the understanding of many concepts that befell her life. For Buffy to see that her new sister Dawn could and would give her the power of reasoning, a joining of the physical and mental paths.

That the slayers role of beating down all ailments much stronger than she had ever faced before she received the knowledge of what was the physical exercise and the reasoning of ideas were brought about when Dracula visited her. It was he who tried to make her realise she was a killer not a slayer.

Yet Spike always refers to her as the slayer. Who should she believe the reputed leader of vampires or Spike? Buffy began to know that it was her friends who were all important that they would give her the ability and power to see them and all like them as valuable. All except the watchers council.

The council sought to value themselves at the cost to others even if it meant to blackmail those who actually fought in the war, a time that Buffy was told by the many that she was important as she placed herself as a friend to all who knew her.

Buffy: The Making of a Legend - 4

It wasn’t until Buffy crawled her way from her box that she began to remember what her death was about, she had chosen to protect her sister to get into the box. Then when she came back she found her way to protect those who wanted her to protect them, once again she had been a chosen one.

Though she joined the life her friends had, she told them of where she thought she was though she never divulged why she was there. Could it be that she wasn’t simply released to help the all maybe it had been a positive move, that the power from there saw her as being needed. Knowing what was the power from her home in death saw what lay before them.

A calculated move had driven her to help though not even Buffy was told the reason why. All she knew was that her closest friends needed her help though it took a while for the effects of their need for help to become known, a time for her nemeseses, nemesesies, neme, the three dippo’s.

Two dippo’s were easily contained while the third thought himself more capable at testing Buffy, what he didn’t know was his plans for himself fell into the plans for what the power upstairs has seen for Buffy, when Willow became distraught the beings whose plans had become revealed let her lead her unto the way they wanted her to go.

Despite misgivings when people had their doubts Buffy led the way with greater belief in herself. Others told Buffy of their belief in her will and ability to lead even when all hope for everyone seemed lost then Giles announced a way for Willow to follow, taking his lead she went to where all was bound.

Xander wanted to keep his friend and she accepted his view, taking the lead of what Buffy’s death had foreseen, so, to the Powers That Be the story came true. The heaven that Buffy had been in that had seen what lay before allowed Willow to be taken to the wisdom that was in Miss Harkness and her friends.

Willow being returned was the plan all along, that Buffy and Willow would control the front that would enable all to bond under their lead, should those be an old friend of Buffy or an old friend of Willow even an old enemy of Buffy. Even the Watchers Council saw it needed to be a friend to Buffy not the unrequited boss of her.

Not that it made much odds as the evil saw the Watchers as a problem even though or because it referred to the evil as the First, so it destroyed them. Just as the monks had given Dawn to the slayer for her protection the Watchers gave all potentials to Buffy for her protection she also gave to them her leadership.

Fearing for them to lose their ability to be able to defeat the First she began training them how to fight effectively, at least that is what she told them, she gave them the knowledge of how to think for themselves, to think for the person next to them and for any others they saw as friends.

Even Giles felt the training Buffy gave, he had told Buffy that his way was right that he knew who was best for her to believe in. Though he saw at the last day that Buffy had become the geeral he had always hoped she would become, that was being regardless of his constant barracking, that Buffy kept true to her belief.

Giles had often told Buffy that Spike was not who she should put her belief in, but it was in time he learnt that Buffy was right to hold true to her belief in him. And Giles was happy that she had ignored him, it was at that point that he knew Buffy was the general he had always wanted her to be. Giles had wanted Buffy to be someone who fought for what was right and someone who knew how to value the correct people. Giles had always known that Buffy was different from others, though he had always seen Buffy to be different to her own kind.

Now he saw Buffy as being different to almost everyone, know he knew that Buffy was not just the best of them all, now he knew Buffy as one to be treasured, he knew Buffy as a legend.
