I couldn't find this topic anywhere on the boards, so please feel free to delete it if it is. Also, if it doesn't belong here, feel free to move it. :icon12:

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys thought of the Buffy video game Chaos Bleeds. I absoloutley love it!! I got it for christmas on playstation 2. It is such a fantastic game!! It does admittedly have it's flaws, like Sarah doesn't lend her voice to the game, and neither does Emma or Alyson, but the subtitutes aren't bad at all. Also, you do get stuck on some of the levels for quite awhile sometimes, but it doesn't really bother you because you are so chuffed with yourself when you manage to do it, lol. I love going back and doing all the old levels too. It never gets old. I also love the comments that the characters make, although some of them are a little erm...racy, lol. I always chuckle. Anyway, over to you guys, what did ya think?

amazing game. although i cant get through the zoo. giant monkeys keep killing me!
im getting an xbox on friday and getting the first game with it. should be fun!

I got myself the x-box version a few weeks ago, I havn't had much of a chance to play it as of yet. I'm stuck at the Kakistos boss battle at the moment. But I don't mind, I like playing as Faith 😀.

It was one of the first modern videogames I bought. (got a gamecube) I like it. Buffy kinda looks like a rat with her hair pulled back. But it's nice to have the puzzles to figure out as well as vamps to dust.

And the extras are nice, the interviews, the Buffy comic, etc...

I think my favorite's Willow cause of all the spells you can cast.

Thought it was fantastic. And I don't usually like those kind of games, more of a classic Point n Click fan. But it was a nice, not too challenging game. Bit short maybe. Needed a better saving system (ie mid-level saving). And why were there no Eliza Dushku extras?? But minor-flaws aside I loved it (even more than the last Tomb Raider game).

I totally agree about the Eliza Extras! I was extreamly annoyed to find none!
There's a few moments in the game when you get to cooperate with other characters in the story mode. If they make another game, it would be neat if they could make it like that X-Men Legends game where you cooperate with three other characters simultaneously.

Can get a little empty out there, dusting vamps all by your lonesome. But at least you've got the group games as well. Though they get a little old.

Couldn't agree more! And I adore X-men Legends!
I got it when it first came out in the UK (found myself in town during a free). The game is okay, much better if your a Buffy fan. Some nice bits and varied gameplay. I found it difficult at times. The extra features though are ace!

I bought a PS2 and this game in December. And I really love Chaos Bleeds. I'm not a huge fan of videogames.. I'm trying but I just don't have the time so.. I'm no good at it. Plus I gat all dizzy an I feel sick after playing a while lol. But it's a great game..

I agree with Ash, the game is much bette if you're a fan. You are more likely to find any relevance in the story since it's a tad confusing, bringing back old enemies and Faith.
I'm not sure I would have loved this game as much as I do now if I wasn't a btvs fan. The controls are almost close to nonfunctional, It's a little bit frustrating because they are different from what I'm used to playing other games. And that multiplayer, i still don't get it! Why is it even there? But it's fun tho, with the rabbits and stuff.
The funnest part is the secrets that unlocks the extras. That Amber v/o thingy rocks. I've always wondered why there are no Eliza extras...

I love this game. My brother and I just beat it last night. Got all the way to Willow in the mall and got stuck for the longest time. Loved the extras, sad about there not being Eliza extras 🙁 But I think the game rocked none the less.

That would be so great if that happened! I actually have both games, but I don't have an x-box to play the first one! Aren't I sick? Well, I got a great deal on it so I purchased it for really cheap.

Yeah. The multi-player is pretty weak. I think that the third person, static view makes it difficult to pull it off successfully. The ideas for the multiplayer games are good, just not executed well, in my opinion. Plus the system lagged a lot when everyone was fighting each other. It was jokes that you could be Joss though!

Yeah, I was ticked that there were no Eliza extras. There should have been a v/o session with her. I liked the Amber one though. 🙂 It's also a shame that we didn't get a v/o session with the person that played Buffy. That would have been cool.

I loved the game! I bought it a few months ago for PS2 and it's my favourite game. I like how they used (mostly) original voiceovers and how you got to play as multiple characters. I've re-played most of the levels and I love how each character has their own moves, strengths, and weaknesses (I noticed Buffy does faster kicks than punches and Xander can usually do more damage to the badguys with punching attacks). The weapons are really great too (the shovel and glowy-sword were my favourites) and the graphics are pretty good. I also thought the extras were cool, and i liked all the different characters you can access for multiplayer. My favourite levels were the mall (because of Willow's spells) and the last one (with the cool sword). This game really puts you IN the story and it's like you really are Buffy (or Willow/Xander/Faith/Spike) and I'd definatly recommend this story to anyone who's a BTVS slayer fan!

I was looking for the other Buffy game (the first one?) and was slightly dissapointed when i found out it's only avalible for X-BOX. (if i'm wrong PLEASE let me know!) I'm not sure how it is but i figure maybe i could rent an Xbox concole and the game for a while, try it out 😉

i got the game like the weekend after it came out in the us and i beat it in a week actually less it was an awesome game and it never gets boring i still enjoy playing it all the time hopefully they do make another buffy game or an angel game that would be awesome...

I loved this game, i was up to the last level and my little brother deleted the game so i had to start all over again and cos it took me so long i just couldn't be botthered, my favourite was willow because she was almost invincible if you played her right, buffy andfaith where good aswell, but it was really hard with sid the dummy lol

It's definitely my favorite game. Unfortunately, my damn XBox is broke. I have the first one too which I was playing when the machine broke, but I don't like it as much. The graphics aren't as good and you only get to be Buffy.

As far as Chaos Bleeds goes, I like being Buffy the best. Xander was my least favorite...it's like he can't freaking jump sometimes. My boyfriend and I beat the game a while ago. I was playing it again (damn microsoft) and I was back up to the movie theatre level...

Dear ya gotta go out and get a NEW Xbox like I did! LOL
Chaos Bleeds isn't a tremendous game by itself, but as a spin-off it's exceptionally good. Again, there's a sore lack of Eliza related extras - that, coupled with the fairly lazy Faith design (If I didn't know better, I'd say they just tweaked the Buffy wire model, and mapped on Dushku's face) suggests to me that Faith was a late addition. But the gameplay itself is fairly solid. Not groundbreaking, but staking a vampire is disturbingly satisfying...

I haven't played on it for about 6 months 😛 Must go find it...

Anyways, I'd stopped cos a) I prefer the computer and b) Spike in the Initiative won't jump over the lazer beams!!! Apart from that, I love it. It was the first piece of Buffy merchandise I got, and it didn't dissapoint.

Love the game - I have it on Xbox. I've finished it 3 times..gotten Slayer ranking in everything and unlocked everything.

I loved touring around the Sunnydale environments 🙂 And my fave characters to play as were Syd the Dummy and Buffy.

I did prefer the first Buffy game (and yes it's only available on Xbox) as far as game engine went and baddies to fight. I LOVED the gameplay in that one, so fluid, it would definitely appeal to a larger video game base as opposed to Chaos Bleeds that would probably only appeal to fans.

My boyfriend and his friends (definitely not fans) loved CB...I'm not so sure yet that I want to give Microsoft anymore of my money though :)
