buffy the vampire slayer or tru calling

Well I've never seen tru calling, I'm gonna watch it when we get it here but I've heard its good...so can't wait 😀 But I think Buffy the vampire slayer was a great show I have several of the season in boxsets 😀
 
I think Tru Calling has potential to be good but in my eyes nothing ever will be as good as Buffy. It was the first of it's kind and other shows are kind of a paler version in some way. Also as has been said, we've had seven years of Buffy and to compare Tru Calling to such a veteran show is not really fair. 😉

I'm looking forward to great things from tru though and hope it lives up to my expectations. 😀
 
buffy. tru calling hasnt been on for that long (even though its a kick ass show) and buffy is an empire. And lets face it buffy has stronger charecters (i mean who REALLY likes Luc all THAT much)
 
Hmm... thats really hard, as people have said, they are different shows... but going on the first 11 episodes of tru compared with the first seaosn of Buffy, i think Tru has surpassed it, but i very much doubt it can surpass buffy in amount of seasons and quality of season 2-5...time will tell.......................................................................................................................................

neither of them are better than ANGEL!
 
Buffy or Tru?

Can't quite believe i'm saying this, but i think Buffy, slightly... argh, too hard! I think if Tru went on for a full 7 series it would have well and truly died by then, unless she gets the gift of doing major time travels where she changes huuuuge events, or moves to a ghost town and there's more supernaturalness going on Tru can stay interesting for too long... then again, X-Files ran on stand alones for years, so who knows?
But the eye candy in Buffy is way too good for Tru to compare, and Buffy's more humorous up til the 7th series, where it shrivelled.
Overall i don't really think it's fair to compare them, they're completely different shows.
 
I really can't chose.
Buffy really was something special, and it will be forever to me. It really did mean something great to me and my life.

I sense good things for TC though, and i'm glad that we have it to watch now that Buffy is over. And knowing that Angel might be axed, i'm even more greatful for Tru Calling.
 
I agree with C Sparrow . Buffy was a fantastic show and took a large part of my life . Now that has gone it's nice to have Tru on TV . Something to look forward to , lets face it there is sod all on TV . I've seen 16 epps of Tru and i love it , Eliza looks amazing . : batty :
 
aww come on you cant ask that question, its too hard lol i honestly cannot choose. i mean i like buffy with the vampire/demon thing going on and of COURSE i love faith, but at the same time i love the super natural effect, and case solving in tru calling...too hard to choose, i wont and you cant make me! :hihi:
 
I say Buffy, that has been around for 7 years and then there is Tru Calling which has been around a week so it makes sense.
 
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Hands down, You can never place anything up to Buffy and expect them to win. Sure, Tru-Calling is great and all, but Buffy as been around for 7 years. And even if TC does live up to 7 years I doubt it will be anywhere near the popularity of BtVs, The Mythology of it, the Actors/Actress', the crew, the writers EVERYTHING was great. I don't even know if I never liked an episode of BtVs, when I can clearly say some Episodes of TC have not been up to par with others 😱

I love TC, butit will never live up to the standards Buffy the Vampire Slayer 😀
 
It could be a major cult show but will never live up to Buffy. Buffy just has created a huge fan base and there is so much mythology in it that Tru Calling can never produce. They even have books out about the philosophy of Buffy. Some things in Buffy really make you think, Tru Calling can do that too but never amount to what has come out of Buffy.
 
Buffy is a great show and I've loved it for the seven years its been running. I don't really compare it with Tru because the shows aren't really the same. Out of the two Buffy is definately better but I do enjoy watching Tru Calling.
