Buffy theme song vs angel theme song

I prefer the Buffy theme. It always makes me happy and gets me into the right "Buffy mode".
Would never miss the opening credits on Buffy. It's a must.

Angel's theme is okay and works for that show. But it doesn't do anything special for me, I could skip it to save time.

Angels by far, buffys is awesome, but Angel's its just unbelievably beautiful. Its depressing, uplifting, its got everything. I just love it! One of my all time favourite songs.
 
I prefer Angel's by a long shot. For one thing, Angel's is just a beautifully composed piece of music while Buffy's is a fairly generic and simple rock tune. But most importantly, Angel's theme song suits the show way more. I mean, the melancholy sound can pretty much fit any episode. Buffy's theme song, on the other hand, doesn't. I mean, it fits the funny filler episodes and most of season 1, but it just feels weird when you start watching an incredibly dark, dramatic episode and all of a sudden it cuts to action scenes with this loud, upbeat "NAAAAAH, NAH NAH NAAAAAAAAAH!" in the background.
 
I think Angel's is a better song in general, but as for opening, Buffy's is just awesome. It epitomizes everything Buffy is about, and everyone shown in the opening looks super cool.

EDIT: But Firefly's demolishes both of them. 🙂 (And Dollhouse's is the worst, just sayin)
 
I'm coming down on the side of Buffy, even though they're both really amazing songs. My dad's the one that got me into Buffy, and before I even knew what the show was, I loved the theme song when I would hear him watch it. It fits the show so well, and the montage is great. Angel's is just kind of boring. (The montage, not the song)
 
I can't say I like either one more or less. They each fit their shows perfectly. Buffy's is more high energy and bad ass. Angel's is more dark and melancholy but beautiful. I can say I love them both in their own ways!
