Buffy stars heading to UK

Part of the new series of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is to be filmed in the UK.

The show's creator Josh Whedon says he will be travelling to the UK in the next few weeks to film some scenes for the first episode of the new series.

They will feature British actor Anthony Stewart Head, who plays Giles, and Alyson Hannigan, who plays Willow.

Whedon also told www.scifi.com that the new series will feature some of the supporting cast more prominently.

He said: "Next year Buffy will be much less peripheral to the climax. The climax will be the biggest thing we've ever done."

i can take any more depressing buffy

Before the season began, that was a spoiler I had read on the boards I think. Obviously didn't happen this season, but maybe next?

Well that sounds pretty cool them being over in the UK for a couple of eps. Having ASH in it is a plus too 🙂 I'm curious though as to what is going to happen over there. The whole Xander thing would definatly be interesting but I just can't picture him doing that.

The first episode of Season 7 Buffy will be shot in Britain. I read it on teletext.
I posted about this on Season 7 pre discussion.
It'll probably be filmed in Devon, cos Giles mentioned about a coven in Devon in Season 6.
ASH lives in Essex and he wanted to be close to home, hence the spinoff so maybe in that region.

This sounds like the spinoff show Joss was talking about earlier in the year named, "Ripper". Which will have Giles be the main character and it'll be more adult and darker.....if that's possible! 🙂
