Well, it's time for the fourth batch of episodes to choose from! You know the drill, vote for your favorite, yada, yada, I'm so stuffy, give me a scone. 😀

For moi, it was a toss up between "Beauty and The Beasts", "Fear Itself", and "Help." I have always felt that B&TB was extremely underrated, "Fear Itself" is my favorite Halloween episode, and "Help" really touched me when I first saw it. But I'm gonna have to go with "Help". I felt that was a somewhat underrated episode to, and it doesn't get the props it deserves. It told a very universal message, no matter how hard you try, some things were just meant to happen. I love that episode.

So let's get going!

WOOOOP! So happy this is back!!

Okay for me its Fear, Itself! I did like Help and thought the whole episode worked really well, the idea of Cassie predicting her own death and unable to stop it; however Cassie as a character does grate on me...

Anyway, Fear, Itself has my vote! Its such an excellent Halloween episode and actually in parts really scary! Its so exciting to watch and the build up is brilliant! I think it links really well S1's Nightmares - in both each person's fears actually materialize. I actually sometimes watch these two episodes side by side!

I love the ending not being a strong, powerful evil - its a nice touch. For one its hilarious that hes soo sooo small and actually it adds to the metaphor of fear itself being worse than actually what it is you are fearing.

My favourite quote from the episode:

Xander: Who's a little fear demon? Come on! Who's a little fear demon?
Giles: Don't taunt the fear demon.
Xander: Why, can he hurt me?
Giles: No, it's just... tacky.

I also love how Giles uses the chainsaw to get into house - so cool! haaa and how Anya dresses as a bunny - AMAZING!

Such a great episode... in fact I might stick it on now 🙂
 
I love 'Fear, Itself' but I picked Carpe Noctem. Which is the first Angel episode I have ever chosen in one of these. I seem to be in the small minority that adored that ep.
 
I LOVED Inca Mummy Girl. It remains to be one of my favorite episodes. I love how the mummy and Buffy had similarities. Great episode.

I'm glad some people like it, I can't stand the episode and I skip it everytime...
I voted for Help! I really liked that ep, and I wish Cassie wouldn't have died, she was a interesting character. And when Willow thought she was talking to Tara was so sad!

I'm a big fan of Slouching Towards Bethlehem, every time I watch it I get such an 'epic' vibe from the episode. I like the surreal feeling that they create through the interesting camera shots / angles and it has some interesting twists and turns and really re-invents the show. In retrospect I don't know if this necessarily was a good thing, but nonetheless this episode set up a new arc very well in my opinion.
 
I sort of want to vote for Beauty and the Beasts just for that scene in which Buffy accidentally shoots Giles with a tranq and he mutters "Bloody priceless" before going down. It's one of the only scenes in the show that can make me laugh for about 5 minutes every time I watch it! Like I literally have to pause the DVD to laugh...

Yea that's a bunch of pretty average episodes, aside from 'Fear, Itself' and 'Hellbound'. I went with the former! It was really funny and yet a lil creepy. 🙂 Hellbound was great too, though.
 
The only episode I like out of that list is Fear Itself. I loved the cute little fear demon at the end.
 
Oh! Forgot the main reason why I like Inca Mummy Girl...

Oz notices Willow for the first time and it's freaking adorable.

Plus, the Dingoes song that Xander and Ampata are dancing to is AMAZING.
 
I chose Help, because when I first saw it...it really surprised me. I was just convinced that Buffy was going to save Cassie. I liked that it didn't have a happy ending. Buffy can't save them all. I guess you could say that it was foreshadowing, in a way.
 
In honor of the 4 theme Help, Untouched, Fear Itself & Carpe Noctem are my top 4 choices.
