Buffy Video Games

I have two questions about Buffy video games.

First general question: Are any of them any good?

My second question is about Sacrifice on the DS. Wikipedia says its set after season seven. It also says it features Sunnydale High School, The Bronze, Buffy's House, The Magic Box... My second question is this: Huh?

To summarise; Are any of them and good? and Huh?

Are any of them any good?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer for ( Xbox ) is OK though I didn't play it much. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds ( Xbox/PS2/GameCube ) is pretty good. The gameplay is mostly standard no frills beat 'em up nothing incredible but it's fun and functional, the story is quite decent too, you know, for a video game based on a TV show. You get to play as Buffy, Faith, Spike ( brawlers ) Xander ( water guns with holy water and such ) and Willow ( hilariously overpowered spells ) Every character, except for Buffy and Willow is voiced by the actors from the show and although Buffy and Willow don't sound like Gellar and Hannigan, they sound like Buffy and Willow if that makes any sense. The graphics, well, it still looks better than the comics, I never had a problem with recognizing the characters.

I was expecting total garbage but I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually OK, there's quality there and the game is pretty long.

My second question is about Sacrifice on the DS.

OK, I tried. It's another 3D beat 'em up but on the DS so it looks like an early 3D graphics Playstation game at best. Also, it uses comic panels instead of cut scenes, I guess, and those are just hideously ugly. I didn't play it much, but I remember weird controls and unintuitive interface. The story, I don't know, it's something about saving Spike or something. I might give it another shot one day when I don't have better games to play, most likely never.

I've only played Chaos Bleed and it was pretty good. Definitely enjoyed it, but being a fan of the show does help as to how much you appreciate the game. There isn't that much replay value, but overall the game is long enough, good graphics (both in consideration of the time the game was made), voice over is fine, and I bought it for like 10$. If I had to buy it again, I definitely would, even at full price.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Xbox) and Buffy TVS Chaos Bleeds (Xbox/PS2 etc) are really fun to play and if you like the series you'll like the games.

Buffy (Xbox) you can put some cheat codes and play in secret arenas, also can have a friend around to take control of enemies (by entering certain codes on the controller) and he/she can help you by killing themselves or make it more challenging. It's pretty neat! I got to play as Cordy for a bit!!! 😀
Attacks are pretty neat when you get the hang of it, especially if you know the moves 😉 Oh and you can play multiplayer on the secret arenas which can be fun too. It's interesting cause all enemies have different attacks/moves, and yes you can control bosses 🙂

Buffy Chaos Bleeds is also good, has no codes if I'm not mistaken but you can play as Buffy, Faith, Willow, Spike and Xander. It has a multiplayer mode which has to be unlocked when completing the game, you play in arenas too but much much smaller, the good thing is that you can play as many other characters like Tara 🙂 and Joss Whedon too 🙂

I prefer the Xbox Buffy, has much better combat ,animation, graphics and music.
I haven't played the others though.
